Really enjoyed this wonderful walk...it was about 5kms return. So many photo opportunities along the way...waterfalls, the glacier itself, rivers, rockfalls, the mountains. The track is quite good and when you get to the end, the view is sensational. We were so glad we went to the effort.

The glacier is a must see. Its awe-inspiring and we viewed it from a helicopter which we'd recommend if you're short on time.

Shame about the weather, our hell-hike was cancelled but we still walked from the car park to see the glacier, most impressive. Worth the walk.

Very lovely short walk billboard guide said 1.5 hrs but we went to viewing platform and returned in under an hour. No a difficult walk through forest and then river bed. Chatted to DOC persons who were maintaining the walkway, very good to chat to and very informative about the history etc. Great day out and can do Fox glacier... More

Must must must do! the glacier was so beautiful I couldn't capture that kind of beauty on my camera. Took a scenic helicopter flight here with a 15 minute snow landing and it was expensive but worth every penny spent. The view was gorgeous and the feeling of soaring higher above the glacier and mountain tips was magical. Definitely recommend... More

Sadly our visit was during a very wet, cloudy and cold two day period. We did manage to catch glimpses of the glacier and it was beautiful. Easy walk from the car park down to the viewing area

Walked the glacier trail on a reasonable day. Take your raincoat and gloves just in cases, we had sunshine, and rain but the sight of the glacier at the end was worth it. Good walking shoes a must, lots to see on the way, waterfalls, landslides and great scenery.

Our whole family loved the Glacier. We did a few of the walks around there and each one was superb. Definitely worth a visit

It is a very easy and beautiful walk up to the glacier! We were a bit unlucky since we couldn't go on a helikopter tour, which probably is the best way to experience this area!! They couldn't fly in this bad weather!! But it was still great and nice!! But bring good clothing, raincoats and so on!! You will never... More

1,5 hrs return trail to the view point where you can see the glacier. They won't allow tou to get too close because of risks due to falling ice and rocks. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to see the glacier whole, but it was still awesome.
