A huge thank you to Henry and the team! To say I was terrified is an understatement. I don’t even go on rollercoasters or Ferris Wheels. I wanted to do this to experience something different but more importantly to conquer one of my biggest fears....More

Skydive Franz Josef was professional in their execution throughout. It was a full flight (12 paying pax split up into 3 flights) because of 3 days jump cancellations due bad weather. The view was awesome as the plane made the climb to 19,000 ft. Instructor...More

No, on the phone and yes, on the glasses or contacts. They make you wear goggles, so I would guess contacts would be better.

Trouble selecting which skydive company in South Island! (3 Replies)
Hi everyone! So far I've been looking at 5 companies to do my upcoming first skydiving this June! We will passing by all 5 locations so location isn't a concern. 1) NZone skydive(Queenstown) 2) Skydive paradise (Queenstown) 3) Skydive Wanaka 4) Skydive franz 5) Skydive Fox Glacier I'm looking at 12,000ft. Please advice on which location will be nice for a jump in winter! Any recommendation is appreciated

I have never done a skydive (too scared!!) but I understand that either the Franz Josef or Fox Glacier (not sure which one) sky dives go the highest in the country. Just in case you wanted a bit of extra excitement. :-) As to which company to choose I would go with the first one you get to on a fine clear day.

Start in Christchurch or Queenstown: 15 Days in South Island (1 Replies)
Hi everyone! I have been writing reviews here for a while, but my first time to get advice here on the forums. My girlfriend and I are taking a trip to NZ in January and I am hoping to get some advice on our itinerary. A few points: - Time: We will have 15 full days, day 0 and day 16 are travel days - Airports: We start and end in Auckland, we fly out of Auckland on day 16 at 11:30am - Activities: We like adventure activities so are hoping to include some combination of: bungee...More

In 16 days you are wise to stick to one island. If you want to do both the West Coast and Mt Cook, it makes the most sense to do a loop Christchurch - Christchurch. If you do a one-way trip, you would have to back-track to see both. However if you want to include much hiking you may not have time for the whole loop, so you will need to make a choice between having time for things like hiking or seeing it all. If you decide to go one way only, to include the West Coast start in Christchurch...More
