Maybe it was the weather, but we walked the entire circuit and it was a solid 1/10 all the way, view wise. Do yourself a favour and leave immediately if the view is not great at the first stop, because it's not going to get...More

We were here on a poor weather day. It was dry but we could not see the mountain tops and reflections on the lake were poor. However, we had a delightful walk, good vegetation and pleasant views

From here, you're able to catch a view of Mt Cook. The walk is easy but time-consuming. However, it's all worth it as you'll greeted by an eye-opening sight.

We meant to check out this quickly but ended up doing the full circle Lake Matheson circuit and it took us 2 hours. It was a really scenic walk and at the Reflection Island lookout, we had a great view of the mountains.

Went here to catch the sunset which I’d recommend! The colours shining on the mountain tops were lovely. The best view was from Reflection Island so definitely worth doing the whole walk around. Was an easy walk too.

Visit this place as a must go list while travel around New Zealand. Get to the lake just in time before the wind start. Nice photo
