- MadeleineLondon, United Kingdom17 contributionsDreamy location and great wineA large, romantic and pristine garden with roses, bean bags, tables and a fountain. Indoor seating in a beautiful wooden house is also available. We sat here for a glass of wine which we were able to taste before buying a full glass of, and wish we had stayed longer! The walled garden creates an exclusivity and the wine was delicious. Think golf course, polo park, Italian vineyard style drinking. Would love to come here for a party or relaxed sunny afternoon.Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 20, 2024
- Pam MDenver, Colorado354 contributionsSuper friendly staff and lovely wines—highly recommend!Dropped in for a tasting & charcuterie board on a Friday afternoon & just loved it! Not the most scenic, to be sure (an enclosed courtyard surrounded by metal sheds), but great wine & a generous charcuterie board, so no worries! Out server was lovely & polite!Visited March 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 7, 2024
- Naomi M26 contributionsA charming surprise. A must visit boutique wineryA charming m, delightful boutique winery. Service is personable and lovely. Grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Loved the feel of a smaller less crowded winery. 5 wines in a tasting and we ordered a delicious and very plentiful cheese board - enough as a lunch for 2 of us.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 16, 2024

I can't rave enough about Framingham cellar door and Framingham wines, it's no wonder it was voted NZ winery of the year. Sitting outside enjoying their wines, having a look through the underground cellar and artspace our time spent here was good. The staff are all full of smiles and knowledgeable about the wines adding to the great experience.

WE popped in after checking out Renwick as we have just purchased there. Great selection of wine and the guy behind the bar was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about all the wines. He suggested we go into the basement to check out the art work which was well worth. Left there with a yummy bottle of Pinot Gris. will be going back to sit out the courtyard with wine and a cheese board

We visited as part of a self directed tour on bikes. Our 3 kids aged 11 to 16 enjoyed the music room in the basement, playing darts and outdoor games, chilling on bean bags under the trees. Giving us grown ups plenty of time to enjoy some pretty special wines under the guidance of very knowledgeable hosts. The gardens are beautiful and the whole set up celebrates art in its many forms.

This was not our favourite winery of the trip. We had high expectations having had some of their wine previously but we just did not love it. The winery is stunning but the service was mixed. The lady helping us seemed a bit confused by our
selections and at one point said she will bring cheese to try a specific wine, although it never came. Soon after we arrived a group arrived in a pretty ‘happy’ state and perhaps this
impacted the service. I will
visit again in future but this won’t be top of my list of wineries to revisite

This was a return visit and as per last time a lovely experience. This is set within a walled garden so sheltered so we could sit outside and try the wines. The service was excellent and helpful. Nice wines. A good place to visit.

Our last winery on our day of biking and wineries was met with friendliness and beautiful wines.
Staff were friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing with both inside and outside courtyard seating and the wine was to die for. We had good attention from servers and got to try and few more wines than normal. We left with three bottles and didn’t have to pay for the tasting. Will definitely come back.

What a fantastic facility and real hidden gem. My wife and I were across the road and not going to go to this vineyard but decided to check it out. We are so glad we did. The venue was so nice. Service was amazing. Maureen was nothing short of amazing and we ended up spending the rest of the afternoon there. It’s the only vineyard where we did more than a tasting just to stay there a bit longer.
Highly recommend this stop

Lovely surroundings, however the cellar door and inside is dark and not welcoming. The staff seemed disorganised and when doing a wine tasting they don’t provide them all together, only one by one and you have to go up and ask for the next one. They didn’t seem interesting in talking about their wines nor selling any! Much better wineries to visit nearby like Forrest and Wairau Valley!

A beautifully set cellar door and venue. Wonderful wines, full of vibrance and flair. Had a very pleasant time tasting and well attended to by our exceptionally personable and informative host. All the staff were lovely of course but a special thank you to our man in the sunflower shirt. We'll definitely be repeat customers.
