We went here for early dinner on Friday night, was a really nice venue, very friendly for our first visit. The food was simple, delicious and very good value. We will certainly be back and take our family. My husband plans to play golf there in the future. We had the fish and chips, very fresh and nicely cooked. Our friends had the steak and the lamb shanks, pronounced excellent by all.Need to book a table and not a late night venue but great for early dinner.

Great little club with really friendly staff. Enjoyed it so much we went back again. Course in pretty good condition considering the dry hot weather. Also, very good value for money.

25 of us played golf at Warkworth golf club probably the best nine hole links course ive played on, the views from the fairways of the beech and of Coquet island are stunning to say the least. We had a bacon sandwich and coffee on arrival and after the golf a cracking two course sunday lunch. All i can say is that you get well looked after by the friendly staff and give it a go. Thankyou Warkworth for a great day from Ashington buffs golf society.

Warkworth Golf Club is about 10-mins drive from the town - follow signs to Omaha (about 40-mins from Auckland), on the way to Omaha. The course is somewhat hilly with lots of doglegs. I find it a very interesting course to play - placement being more important than distance. Recently they cut down a large number of mature Pine & Macrocarpa trees around the course, which I thought a shame, as it has left it looking a little bare, I'm sure these will eventually be replanted with natives, but that will take quite some years to grow. The course is usually kept in good to very good condition, so typically nice to play. It has an excellent club house (by NZ standards), serving a good selection of hot & cold food, a big bar area with views over the course - rather pleasant while having a beer after a game. The area suits a golfing weekend away with 3 good course close by; Omaha 10-mins & Mangawai 40-mins
