A lovely bustle-free spot yet so close to Warkworth. The beach is flat, and goes out shallow for several hundred metres. This is a toddlers paradise, with the safe waters, seabirds, sand and shells. There's a really good playground, with a flying fox and a big basket swing. I often take my kids there for tea and a run-around.

Self contained campervan can park over here in designated spots. Playground and park ps are nice, as is a walk or nap on the beach.

We spent such a long time at the beach at low tide just wandering through the rock pools watching the sea creatures in their natural habitat. The water was warm and the beach beautiful. The pohutukawa trees were beautiful with their red flowers just coming out. They also gave us shade from the sun during our picnic.

Grab fish and chips at snells beach and head down for a beautiful walk along a desingated path. Table and bbqs available if you want to take your own food and have a bbq. Playground and flying fox that the kids love.

Stayed on the freedom park in front of the beach, great spot and nice waking up to the beach right in front of us so we got the paddle board out and had a nice paddle before breakfast.

We used to live in Snells and miss being by the beach So much!! It never got too busy, has a good playground for kids, offers overnights for motorhomers, and is a perfect spot for picnics in the summer! Would highly recommend it for a day out by the beach,

Snell's is a great beach when the tide is in but pretty average when it's out - would check the tides before going to visit.

This beach is one of my faves in the area. Its shallow for a long way out, making it safe for kids to swim & nothing nasty in the water. There is a playground adjacent to the beach, toilets & bbq's available. The carpark is right there, so no long walks, the ground is level & there is a walkway... More

Love walking down here in the summer but even in the winter with the salt breeze blowing in, it is lovely. Good playground and toilets. An any time place to visit.
