About
Sheepworld is one of New Zealand’s top Shearing Show venues. Watch live demonstrations of the dogs round-up and bring in the sheep, which are then sorted and shorn by our one of our shearers. Enjoy the Eco-Trail and stroll through beautiful native bushland. Pat, visit, and hand-feed a variety of friendly Farm animals any day of the week. We have a beautiful airy Cafe on-site and picnic tables outdoors for your enjoyment. Fun for all ages!

Once in a Lifetime Sheep-tastic Experience!
When we asked our 8yo what he wanted to do while we were in New Zealand, without pause he said he wanted to shear a sheep. We didn’t think that would possibly be an experience we could make happen for him. However, Sheepworld made it happen! Not only did Taurito expertly and patiently help our son shear a sheep, but our 17 yo also was able to participate in the group show and even I (mom) got to participate! Dad even got to bottle feed a lamb! The group show was much more than we expected and visiting the farm and feeding the animals added to the enjoyment of the day! Sarah and Ox and the whole team at Sheepworld were amazing! But special kudos to Taurito on making our son’s dream come true - just amazing!
We're so delighted to know you had such a wonderful time here! A pleasure to host you all - and I'll pass along your kind comments to Taurito, she'll be happy to know! We trust you had a safe trip home :)

    Warm friendly reception at Sheepworld
A good couple of days spent at Sheepworld Campground 14th June to 17th. The camp is now under NEW MANAGEMENT and a lot of work has been done since we last visited - but it still retains its rustic old worldly charm and the Manager Chris is a pleasure to deal with, very FRIENDLY and helpful . We highly recommend a stop over at this lovely camp on your trip North.

    Loved Sheepworld
Met some very clever dogs and amazing staff. Loads to do. You can feed the animals and we had the chance feeding the baby cows with a bottle. Enjoyed the best eggs possible at the restaurant. Will go again.

    Sheemply (simply) Splendid
The animals are very friendly, and I highly recommend buying the animal when purchasing your entry ticket. Keep your hand flat when feeding the animals, and be aware of wayward teeth, as the nibbles do still hurt. The sheep-shearing show was educational and entertaining, and I really appreciated that the money I paid goes back to help struggling youth. Also, take your time through the short eco trail to truly appreciate the beauty of the New Zealand greenery.

Nice stop on journey to Bay of Islands
Really enjoyed the 11am sheep and dog show. Good explanation of how the dogs work to control the sheep. Saw the shearer in action which was something completely new for us. Got some great pics of both the round up and the shearing. Liked Sheepworld even more when we learnt that our admission fees go towards helping young people who may have not had the best start in life. Food was good in the cafe and clean toilets as we waited for the show to start. Overall we thought this was a nice break on the journey up to Paihia from Auckland.

Fab day out with my 3 year old. We watched the show and it was so informative and fun. Excellent farm with lots of animals to feed. Only let down was the food, salmon bagel was very lacking. Awesome fun, will be back, although probably with a picnic.

I had a good time at Sheepworld, fed the animals in the morning then saw the sheep show. The bus from Auckland won’t be going there for the next 6 months (not sheepworlds fault) so getting there will be a little difficult.

This place is great no matter what age you are! The staff are all so friendly - we loved John and his two dogs that we watched herd in the sheep.

It was great that you got to help shear the sheep and feed the baby lambs plus all the other animals there.

I’d highly recommend and will definitely be back again next time I’m over in New Zealand.

Staff offered information about sheep and other animals. The sheep show demonstrates sheep shearing, the use of sheep dogs, and how to separate sheep into various stalls. Nice little café on the premises offers a tasty lunch meal. Beautiful setting, including a nature walk and animal farm.

Dropped in to grab a coffee and rest break. Great cafe and clean toilets. Didn’t go through to visit the animals but had a lovely break in the fenced off picnic area

Nice sheep show when we arrived there. Also lot of farm animals to interact with here. they are all in their enclosures and you can feed them while enjoying the great farm. Great activity for kids and they learn a lot. We will go back again.

We had not been for a couple of years. But found we learned even more from John and his forthright presentation. We took two adult Chinese men with limited English but they were smiling and had questions. The dogs misbehaved a little but did their jobs efficiently. The feeding of the lambs is always a feature and our men were delighted to participate. The shop and cafe were bonuses ! Sadly the walk around the animals was a mite distressing and lacked some upkeep. More animals are needed to bolster the numbers. O Nevertheless ...We must return.!

An ideal place to visit with you whanau and tamariki.
Do not miss the sheep- dog show and sheep rearing.
It is fun, entertaining and lots to learn from. There are many other animals you could feed and spend time with. A must visit if you are around with children. We enjoyed our visit and carried our picnic and ate it in the gazebo tent at the venue.
