a good day out with the kids is always guaranteed at ambury. see all the farm animals up close (sheep, rabbits, cows, pigs, chickens, turkey, peacock, goats and horses) there's also access to the beach to go looking for crabs and other critters. it's good to get out, go for a walk and enjoy the fresh air and even better it's FREE!!!

We walked out to the little resting site. It was pouring and we got soaked. We were not prepared but it's so peaceful out there. Sheep are everywhere. You can see a few different kinds of birds.

The title was totally what it meant - to just walk in and wander within the park. You'll be greeted with great scenic of the sea and volanco, sheeps, cows and chickens. Best part of it? It's free and parking is so easy! Didn't manage to witness the cow milking because we arrived later in the day. Will definitely recommend... More

In the mid position between Auckland City centre and Auckland Airport, this Council Park is also a farm, operational farm in small scale with sheep (and shearing function), pig, cow (and milking facility), and horses paddock. This park also has functions as a caravan park and playground for children, bird watching and walking tracks. Not a very spectacular park, but... More

What a hassle to try and set up a tent. First you have to phone in from a phone at the gate, and wait, and wait, and wait for someone to answer (like 30 minutes), then you are transferred to another department for payment with credit card. That department transfers you back to the first place for confirmation and a... More

Very good petting zoo.. But I believe they should have more staff and better signage to reach here. A good place to experience rural life in the city, especially because it is just so close to Auckland. Part farm, part regional park, this place has a lot to satisfy kids and adults alike. The farm area has a range of... More

Has everything for the family. There are a few walks which give you places to stop and read about the area. The farm part is great as there are animals to view and if you come after June and come at the right time you can see the cows being milked. There is also a campsite and toilets etc. Lots... More

The scenery here is absolutely beautiful. We went for a leisurely afternoon walk with a group of friends. The animals were a bonus and super cute, friendly and clean. There are also camping facilities available and horse riding for kids. There's a picnic area with a few BBQ facilities which would make for a good day out!
