Wendy was a lovely, laid back tour guide. We loved driving on 90 mile beach, seeing wild horses amongst the trees, learning a bit about the local history, having lunch on the beach, walking down to the lighthouse and sign post at Cape Reinga, passing a little seal on the beach, and - the best of all - sand boarding. My slightly overweight middle aged self did not enjoy the trek up the sand dune, but it is so worth it to stand at the top and then board down. Glad I did it twice. It’s a long day but so much fun. We could have driven the route ourselves, but we wouldn’t have gotten nearly as much out of it. The price for our family of four was very reasonable, particularly since lunch was included. We brought our own snacks and a few sodas, which I would recommend doing, The bus was exceptionally clean and very comfortable.

Had a fabulous trip to the Cape thanks to our driver and guide Wendy! Based on the tides we drove up 90 Mile Beach in the morning. Turned off the beach and headed up Te Paki stream to the sand dunes- lots of fun with the boogie boards down the dunes - great fun for the kids and the adults! Then it was off to the Cape - even on a blustery day it’s still great. Do take the time to read the signs along the way and learn about the cultural significance of the Cape. We finished the day driving down the East side stopping for a tasty BBQ lunch. Excellent value for the price and highly recommended.

Joined on 6.10.2020 Wendy was our leader and we had a very good time. We went to the 90 mile beach and sand boarding. (She was a really good explainer) and no one had an accident on her bus. We had also a BBQ lunch with steaks and sausages. They even provide drinks! On the way back, we had fun feeding the turkeys/emus bread which the other bus haven't got. I lost my phone on the shuttle van and she helped get it and waited for us even though it was her after-work time, thanks for your help!! Wendy helped a lot and her service is highly recommended.

Right from the time we got abroad there was laughs all round. Wendy was our driver and informative about what was going on in the area. The trip up the beach was great. I didn't do sand surfing but those that did had a blast. Then a great bbq down in a cove just below the cape. Up to the cape to walk off lunch. Trip home was informative with a ice cream stop. I would definitely recommed to all.

We booked this trip at the last minute as we had reached the northern most site on our three week tour of North Island, we really wanted to go up to Cape Regina but we wernt keen on driving ourselves. It was the best decision of our trip, we were collected from the town nearest our camp site and met with the main group. Our tour guide/driver Wendy was incredible, friendly, knowledgeable, funny, totally professional and made sure that we all had a fantastic and safe experience. Wendy realy made the whole trip everything we could have hoped for. The trip itself takes you through some breathtaking countryside, we took the road route up due to the ride times and heard some great information about the history and background of the area. Cape Regina is a magical place and has left us with some realy special memories. The BBQ was a nice lunch, enough to keep us going and well prepared and hosted. The dune boarding was an added bonus which the kids enjoyed (and us parents), I was reluctant but having had a go, would recommend you dont miss out. The drive back along 90 mile beach was a great experience and one we never imagined we would have on our trip, but made all the more impressive with the tour bus / truck which was comfortable and combined with Wendy's driving felt very safe. I can't thank the team enough for the fantastic day and would recomend the tour to anyone considering going up to Cape Regina / 90 mile beach, certainly wouldn't choose to drive ourselves when this tour is available. Thanks from the Alexander's.
