This is a great museum run by volunteers. A great place to bring the kids and for adults to learn about the history of the New Bedford Fire Depart. They have summer hours only but will open the doors by appointment during the off season. They also have a Facebook page.

This fire museum is very interesting. It is an old firehouse managed by a retired firefighter.. They have many interesting ancient firetrucks and newer ones to climb on. There is a small fire pole for the kids to slide down, original firefighter uniforms to try on, and

The detail of the exhibits are well planed. The hours of operation are limited always a good idea the check before as it is staffed by a volunteer. Children and adults will enjoy the history of this place.
