Disappointing company with poor customer service. We arrived 20 minutes early, so we took a stroll around. At 2:57, the boat was pulling away without us on it. We tried unsuccessfully to call using two different numbers. We did end up getting on the 430 (which left at 4:28), but it was very inconvenient and the lack of customer service... More

It was good to speak with you on Saturday, albeit much later in the day. And it was quite an unfortunate situation, on all counts and we are very sorry. Our policy is to leave the dock at the appointed time and no earlier. Captain did acknowledge he left just as you said. Glad you were able to take the... More

We went on this tour for the first time after moving to Fairhaven a year ago. Convenient location right at the city pier in NB, clean boat, friendly captain/tourguide. Very enjoyable 1 hr tour with about 13 others. Good live tour info on decent speakers. Plenty of room on the boat, water like glass the day we went. Would definitely... More

New Bedford is monetary fishing capital of US. This is due to scallops! Not fish! The story of fishing and description of the many fishing boats in the harbor are the highlights of this 1 hr personally narrated harbor tour. The captain has been doing this for years. The boat holds about 15 seated along the sides. It is covered.... More

The tour which is taken on a small overhead covered pleasure craft and ours lasted about 75 minutes. On many of this type tour, you listen to a canned message that is repeated over and over again. This was not true of the history lesson from Captain Rick. His version of New Bedford and Fair Haven, Massachusetts was very refreshing.... More

Nicely done! Very informative and a great tour of the harbor from on the water. Book in advance using their website to guarantee a spot. I also used Groupon for a great deal. 1 hour trip around the harbor and out past the hurricane wall.

We had an exceptionally great time on this one hour tour of the Acushnet River, exploring the many piers and wharves with the New Bedford fishing fleet close by. Our Captain explained the various types of fishing boats and the workings of the fleet. His knowledge of the fishing industry and the history of this port made the trip very... More

Acushnet Harbor Tour with Captain Joe. The small boat was full of passengers from our cruise ship, about 14. The tour lasted about an hour and we saw the fishing fleet, lighthouse, osprey nest, hurricane wall and gate up close, small islands and bridge. Captain Joe described points of interest and provided information about local history and politics and the... More

We took the 1:30 boat ride with Captain Rick. He knew a lot of information about the harbor. This was a fun and informative harbor tour of New Bedford and Fairhaven Ma. We also saw a seal swimming in the harbor.

Be sure to get a reservation ahead of time as this boat only takes about 15 people. An hour long tour with a wonderful talented man who talked the entire hour about the history of New Bedford, the various fishing boats and how they caught their fish, stories of how someone rose from lowly job to owning 40 ships, who... We took the 3:00 PM tour with Captain Rick. He was very informative and enjoyed answering any questions. The tour lasted about 75 minutes. We went through the hurricane barrier into Buzzards Bay and in front of Fort Phoenix. We learned much about both the New Bedford and Fairhaven history as we went along the harbor and through the fishing... More
