Looking for one of the most secluded beaches in Wialia ? It’s a secret but not really 🤣
The beach itself isn’t big but is the home to many turtles ☀️ I renewed my vows on this beach with my hubby . Lots of small weddings happen in this beach. Photo ops are incredible!! Huge rocks are the perfect backdrop with the sunset and surf coming in. I recommend going early

Because there aren’t a ton of reviews, I had this saved as an add in item, not a for sure thing on our itinerary. This place is also listed on Trip Advisor as Secret Cove Beach. After unexpected flight delays, we arrived in Maui too late to do my itinerary as planned for the forts day. We ended up going here for our first sunset, and it was unbelievable. What a great introduction to Maui. The waves crashing are gorgeous, the palm trees overlooking the lava formations, and a gorgeous view of the colorful sunset left an impression on our for the entire trip. There was something special about this place, and I can’t believe we almost didn’t go. It is hard to find... After passing the Big Beach parking lot look for the stone wall
on the right, and the cars parked along the road. The opening in the wall is rather small and easy to miss, but we found it, and there were people coming away from it that told us exactly where it was. There weren’t large crowds, and everything about this was what you’d expect when you think Maui. Definitely make time for a sunset at this beach.

I wouldn’t recommend spending a great deal of time here, but it’s hands down definitely one the most beautiful places on this epic island. It’s no wonder why so many wedding pictures are done here.

When driving here, look for the stone wall and there will be an opening right in front of a street sign covered up with stickers. Also, there may be cars parked near/in front of the entrance obstructing the opening.

Swimming is doable, but a little dicey being in crashing water with nearby lava rock. The sand is soft and golden. And there’s shade at the back of the beach.

This should be a relatively quick stop, but absolutely a must do.

Fantastic beach as it’s wide open. Went during the week and it was hardly crowded. There is paid parking at lots not too far. The current was a bit strong and the shore dropped pretty quick so not a great beach for kids. I however loved trying to body surf the waves and taking pics of the beautiful scenery. A must do when in Maui!

When we showed up that sunny Sunday morning at 10:15 for our Wedding, my breath was taken away, it is actually MORE beautify than any picture. The cove is right out of a postcard or a movie - absolutely stunning and magnificent. Just check out the pics I posted and you will see how impressive this place is. 7 Stars. 16 Thumbs Up.

This is definitely a secret beach. You have to park on the side of the road and find the path between the stone wall. There are pricate mansions everywhere. Its beautiful. If you are not good on your feet, or cannot do a small climb, then this will not be the spot for you. You have to traverse a few slippery rocks to get down to the sand of the beach. Once you do, it is breathe taking. Great snorkeling here too! Spent most of our day here on our last day, what a way to spend it!

Secret Cove is also known as Wedding beach because if you go you might see some newlywed taking pictures there.

This is a small, nice quiet beach where you can also find some shade if you want some. The beach has some volcanic rocks all around so it makes it special and beautiful.

So if you're looking to spend some time in a secluded area away from the crowd that is all over big beach, just drive 5 minutes South and you will find this wonderful little gem. But be aware that parking is very limited and you have to look around a little to find the entrance to the beach, but it is worth it.

I definitely recommend a visit to this place.

We didn't have reservations to go watch the sunrise on the mountain, so we found this great little beach to watch the sunrise! We got there way before sunrise, so it was very secluded and quiet! Our teenagers enjoyed climbing on the lava rocks and the waves were beautiful in the morning light. Very peaceful and a great experience!

There are a lot of secret beaches on Maui, but this is the most infamous. This is the "wedding spot". The Entrance is very easy to miss, when you are driving down Makena Road you will see the road widen in one spot and there is room to park 4 cars along a rock wall. The entrance is about a 2 foot opening in the wall. It opens into a small rocky beach beautiful beach, never crowded. There is a large tree on the left side for shade. The water tends to be a bit rough here, the waves wash back and forth through the two water access points, but the current is actually not that strong for adults, if you have kids make sure they have life jackets on. Everytime we have been here a turtle always makes a appearance. Water is a bit murky for snorkeling. If you have the Maui Revealed guide book you can find more info.

When we got to Pa'ako Beach at 9 am it was already occupied by a group of locals with a loud radio and a dog that barked incessantly. They sat right at the entrance and made it a pain for everyone to walk in. As the day progressed more and more people arrived and the music and the barking dog got louder. We left and went to Big Beach. Much quieter and you had more room to enjoy the beach. Don't go. It's a waste of time.
