Wailea Blue is more open and accessible off the tees. The fairways are soft spongy grass and the greens are challenging. The Emerald Course was less forgiving off the tees with some very tough greens. It is a picture perfect scene hole after hole.

Played both, the Emerld and Gold Courses. I'm an average golfer who thoroughly enjoyed the visual beauty of aa well maintained facility with breathtaking holes with the ocean as a backdrop. The Gold course has more sand an is probably a little harder. I think the Emerald course had better ocean views and played a little easier, at least for... More

If you can only get a round or two of golf while on Maui, I highly recommend the Gold or Emerald courses in Wailea. I live on Maui and am never disappointed by either. This time I played the Gold course and as usual it's in great shape: the tee boxes, fairways, sand traps, greens! You will feel like you're... More

I played here about 20 years ago and again yesterday. What a treat to come back and play a course in such outstanding shape that is fun to play. Oh, and the views are amazing! Helpful starters, players assistants and beverage cart service. It was worth the hour drive from Ka'anapali where we are staying. I highly recommend the gold... More

Two of our three favorite courses on Maui. LOVE the opening tee shots on both courses. In our opinion, Emerald has more stunning views than Gold, but Gold will leave you breathless as well... and is slightly more challenging from the same tees. Five tee boxes to select from so choose appropriately and enjoy fantastic golf!

We played the Gold course two days after the Emerald. It's views are not as nice as the Emerald but the greens were faster so it played harder (the Emerald greens had just been sanded so they were always an easy two putt). I do not know why the Emerald is called female friendly" as I didn't think the fairways... More

Wailea Golf Club is excellent. The Emerald and Gold courses are challenging, in very good condition, and have exceptional views. The staff is helpful and accommodating.

The Emerald Course has incredible views of the ocean and holes are specular. Golf Digest always rates this course as one of its top female friendly venues and it did not disappoint - my wife loved it! George a Player Assistant on the course was friendly and gave great tips how to read the greens, which can be difficult. One... More

Gold and Emerald course, Emerald in good shape, plenty of challenges, Gold had just been aerated so greens a little tougher. Still both courses are great. Why bother with Wailea Blue(unless you want an easier course for beginners) play Gold and Emerald, very enjoyable..
