We planned on visiting Little Beach from the moment we decided on Maui for our honeymoon. We were told by a friend to go on a Sunday night to witness the drum circle and fire dancing. We thought this would be cool. Apparently so did every other tourist on the island. The place was packed. So many people it was... More

A litle walk to get there, wear shoes to go up and over the hill. If daytime park in lot one of big beach and walk to your right as you enter the beach. The beach was about half full, about 60 percent nude and very laid back. Nothing like South beach in Florida, with all the gawlkers, Just people... More

Nice Little Beach :) over the rock from Big Beach. You don't HAVE TO be nude, but don't go over there if you're bothered by nudity. Nobody was gawking or staring when we visited, just being as we were born to be! On Sunday evenings it's a younger hippie crowd mostly-the drum circle is pretty amazing to watch as is... More

This is a beautiful beach with good snorkeling and shade trees. Not everyone goes nude. We went twice and both times it was almost 50/50. The water quality was great! It has a trail to the right through the trees and over the rocks, which overs some nice coastal views.

We should have checked before, not realising that Little Beach was a nudist beach! Access is via Big Beach, to climb over th rocky pass into Little Beach- only having done this did we see that it was a nudist beach, so we turned around (not quite the thing with a 4 year old) and cried back down.... it looked... If you're not too disgusted by naked old men and hibernated hippies, go there on a Sunday afternoon for a swim in the sunset and a drum show by the hippies dancing around naked, enjoying themselves with a diversity of stimulus.

The nude beach is not like some where nudity is natural. Stay away from the paths to the trees or you may see something you do not want to see. Can be dangerous. Fire dancing on Sunday nights is illegal and there are arrests. Traffic is crazy just driving by so avoid this area on Sunday nights for sure.

Put Sunday Night sunset at Little Beach as a "must do" on your next trip to Maui. A bit of a hike to get there, but well worth the entertainment. Adult only recommended.

Best time to go is on Sunday for the drum circle. Fire dancing when the sun goes down was a treat. Bring a flashlight.

We were driving back and forth in Kihei to find perfect beach for snorkeling as Kalapua beach and wandered into Little beach. My 1st glance I was surprised and thinking "what the.." So it would be better if there is a sign on those lava rock to let people what is ahead unless they already know and come there for... More
