We found this beach by hiking over the rocks at the west side of Makena beach. It was secluded and private with no other souls to bother us. We settled in and took a snooze only to wake and find ourselves surrounded by nudists, doing usual beach activities including swimming and boogie boarding. In any case, its still a nice... More

We went Sunday closer to sunset, they have a free fire dancers show there, we really enjoyed that. Be aware it's an optional nude beach. Also, the parking lot might close around 8pm so I'd park on the side of the street outside (you'll see a lot of cars parking there)

Lovely secluded beach. Not so easy to access (park at Big Beach and then walk from a rocky path). It's quite a hippie place... few nudist there. Sandy beach and sandy fondals.

My daughters and I were staying by kaanapali beach and of course this was the day we were planning on hanging out by the pool. Well murphy's law it was very cloudy and kept raining on and off. Well like any good traveler you just pack up the car and head to a better location. So we drove south to... More

We went to the Sunday night drums at sunset for our first time. Visited again during the day during our visit. Very relaxed atmosphere. Nice swimming beach. Don't go if you are offended by nudity, though, stay on Big Beach side!

This a gorgeous quiet beach not far from the big resorts in Wailea but be prepared, its clothing optional. You can easily get there from Big Beach and climbing over the rocks. Sunday afternoon/ evening there is always a huge beach party.

If you have an adventurous-side, you need to experience Little Beach! There are amazing fire dancers, happy hippie people, people who might be sans clothes (prudes need not apply), and a beautiful sunset view. To get to the beach you have to clamber over a rocky hill (wear good hiking shoes/sandals for the climb) since Little Beach is very secluded,... More

My partner and I spent 3 days on Maui and took part of 2 of those days to visit Little Beach. It’s easy to find — just take the main road through the Wailea resort area, past The Four Seasons and The Fairmont, until you come to the Makena Beach park. It’s well-marked: pull into the first parking lot and... More

We had been given a tip about this hidden beach, so were really looking forward to visiting. Unfortunately, we didn't understand that if we parked in the Big Beach Park parking lot, we would have to leave by 7:45 p.m. There were plenty of police on hand to make sure Big Beach was cleared out and closed on time. We... More
