This beach has been rated as one of the 5 best "nude" beaches in the U.S. Unlike prior visits, our last visit was actually about 2/3 textile. Perhaps this was because it was on a Saturday.

Little beach is part of the Makena beach, separated from it by the steep hill. You have to climb a bit, but it ensures privacy. You can enjoy the sun either in or out of your bathing suit. We were in Maui in June and...More

This beach was where we found about 6 turtles and some were a metre long - in the shallow waters feeding on the small green seaweed. We snorkelled around for about an hour and saw many fish as well - beautiful coral as well

The hike is not difficult if you are under 50 and it is clothing optional. Sunday is the busy day. No pressure to be nude. Many older poeple and many pretty Europeans too.

This is a nude beach. You do not have to be nude, but be aware you may see things you do not want to see because some people should not be seen naked, but it is an adventure anyway. The place is a pretty good...More

Little beach is the clothing optional beach on the other side of the land-divide from Big beach in Makena Wailea. Anyone who goes there knows it's often filled with sun and surf worshippers who love it for it's clothing optional status. Enjoy laying out, walking...More

You have to look closely to find the climb over the lava hill but worth the effort. Much smaller than Big beach but a nice area. Location blocks a lot of the after no winds. Waves not so large and sand is soft. The back...More

This beach was on my bucket list for years. It was great to “surprise” my wife with it. Beautiful secluded beach. Maybe 100 people here on our visit. It can comfortably hold 5 times that. Plenty of beach to set up our chairs and umbrella....More

I must admit this was my favourite beach in Maui. The atmosphere was great, there was a drum circle happening right in the middle with people dancing as they please. Great place for a sunset, just a short hop over the cliff from Big Beach.

Sundays at sunset. A little bit like Mardi Gras in the sand. Be sure to take care not to leave anything of value on your beach towel. (The party can get quite raucous). Having a small flashlight (or your mobile phone... More

It depends on what time of day you want to visit. If you are visiting during daylight hours, then park in the first parking lot to Big Beach. That parking lot closes at 7:45 p.m. If you are interested in the nightlife... More
