More of a local scrne

This is a nice beach which is more popular with locals than tourist. It is not as long as some other beaches in the area, and it is somewhat steeper. There is a short trail to the beach. Park by the porta-potty on Makena Rd. There is good shade where the trail meets the beach. Snorkeling on the south end is very good all the way to Po’olenalena Beach.

Perfect wedding spot
Jul 2019 • Couples
We got married at sunrise, had the beach to ourselves. It was perfect. Lovely spot for photos. Soft sand, rocky outcropping, lush vegetation, volcanic views nearby.

Cute not so busy beach
Oct 2019 • Family
We came here twice during our stay on Maui. We loved the beach because it was less crowded compared to some of the mainstream beaches. We watched the sun set at the beach which was quite a happening since we had 3 weddings, one engagement and multiple family picture shoots happening next to us. Still worth the visit

One of the best in Maui

If you are in Wailea do not miss this amazing beach. Not crowded at all. We had most of it to ourselves almost all morning. I think we saw a total of 10 other people. My 9 year old had a wonderful time in the water with her friends. This is truly a hidden gem!! Waves were not big and sand is soft and clean. Lots of parking all day. No real bathroom except a porta potty.

Beautiful and secluded

We love this beach. Off the beaten track, quiet and rather secluded.
We got married here at sunset. Nobody around at all but us!! We came back several more times during our stay as it became our fav.

Headed back in a month! Can’t wait to snorkel with the turtles!!

Beautiful Spot For A Wedding
Dec 2018 • Couples
We got married on this beach. It has beautiful sand with a great view of the volcano as your backdrop. There is also a rocky area which is beautiful for pictures. A large Green Sea Turtle swam by right after our ceremony!

Perfect sunset wedding
Aug 2018 • Couples
Not far at all from our hotel. We could have gone right in front of our hotel but we were advised to go here to avoid the touristy crowds. Well I think it was definitely a busy day to get married, because there were 4 other ceremonies going on that beach. It was big enough for all of us, so I didn't mind. It was nice to hear the violinist near by playing traditional wedding songs: Pachelbel Canon in D :-) Thankfully we got our beautiful sunset. Perfect setting for a small initimate wedding!

We were there early every morning when the water was calm. We were able to see lots of sea life. Beach was very scenic. We even had our photography shoot done here!

Our favorite beach
Jul 2018 • Family
We were so happy that we stopped here, the beach is lovely, there were no waves to deal with and the snorkeling was amazing. Off to the left of the beach are coral rocks that have lots of fish to look at as well as huge sea turtles that come to eat on those coral rocks. We were lucky enough to see four of them while we were there. One swam right up to our camera to take a closer look! This beach is on the smaller side of some of those that we visited, but it was not crowded at all. There is not too much shade, unless you sit higher up on the beach under the trees. There was no lifeguard, shower or restrooms. The parking is on the side of the road in a residential area, so be mindful not to block anyone's driveway. This is one that I would recommend adding to your list while on Maui. It was our favorite beach that we visited.

South maui gem!
Dec 2017 • Family
This was our first time to our beach and we were blown away. There is not a lot room for parking as you park on the side of the road. There was a porta potty on the side of the road. It was a nice calm day and the beach was great for swimming. Really quiet Beach. Not many people.
