We are here right now at Palau'ea Beach better known to us "locals" as White Rock Beach. It's hard to find at the end of Wailea and you have to walk across some properties to get to the beach. This is one place we always bring our visiting friends and family because it is secluded, the beach is unsurpassed, the... More

My wife and I spent 8 nights in Maui to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. As a surprise to my wife, I arranged for a sunset photo shoot at this beach, also called White Rock Beach. Natalie Brown was our photographer and she was wonderful. We have lots of great pics to enjoy forever. Make sure you contact Natalie Brown... More

My husband and I got married at the Palau'ea Beach. The weather was perfect and we witnessed the most beautiful sunset we'd ever seen! There were only a few people at the beach, it felt like we had it all for ourselves! Too bad Maui is so far away for us because I wish I could be there more often!

Someone is building a house right behind the beach. The beach itself is beautiful, the water clear, the sand soft. I snorkeled a bit but I couldn't convince my wife to come with me because the surf was a little rough. The waves kept knocking her over while she was trying to put her flippers on. So she sat on... Partly hidden away below Polo Beach is a beautiful unimproved strand the locals call White Rock Beach. There are no facilities but a port a potty. Parking is along the road. It is clearly a favorite of locals. We even saw wedding pictures being posed. Real, not tourist, Hawaii.

very few rocks and so relaxing. there are sometimes a lot of people so you need to get there early to get a parking spot and a beach spot.

This is a hidden litte jewel of a beach! Palau'ea is quiet and small and is hidden amongst a street of homes South of Wailea. Check your Maui map for it's exact location or the local book titled "Maui Revealed" that you can buy at your local ABC store. Parking is along the street and the walk to the beach... More

Having been to almost every beach in South Maui, this is the beach that my wife and I keep coming back to. Never crowded. Really good snorkeling. If you get there early enough, some parking close by. It would be nice if it had a shower like Keawakapu Beach but I am just nitpicking now. Ssh, don't tell anyone else... More

Amazing Spot to Watch Sunset, only the locals really go there as it is about a mile and a half South from the major resorts. My wife and I actually picked this beach to do our vow renewal ceremony while on vacation based on the recommendation of the photographer we hired, and we are so glad we did. There was... More
