Very old cemetary with many many interesting monuments and markers. A local women will tell you about it but she only speaks Spanish, so your guide will interpret if needed. In the process of being restored, it is a little challenging to walk through. Still...More

Less impresive then the cemetary in Havana, but neverthelessit has some fine buildings and graves in it.

I drove past it and the driver told me that while the sarcophagus are on the ground level, bodies are actually buried deep down, and family members are buried under one sarcophagus. Some of the mausoleum are big and beautifully decorated.

This cemetary was fascinating. One half is devoted to early wealthy citizens with large ornate mausoleums. Beside it is the cemetary for the poor which is barren and full of weeds. Now they are one cemetary but a glimpse into pre-revolutionary Cuba.

This is a must see if you want to see a great cemetery. Some amazing stones and work, dating back to the early 1800's

Interesting visit! Hard to find without a knowing cab driver. Guide meets you at the entrance and takes you on a small tour (20 mins?). All free. Much is in disrepair but interesting nonetheless! It can get VERY hot as it is a walled cemetery.

Very old, unique & beautiful stories to be learned. An elderly woman sits by the entrance and will walk you thru with information on the history of the cemetary and graves - in Spanish - so you will need someone to translate.

In a small spot, there are different types of graves, statues and stories. You should take a look to this place. Also be sure you will need the guidance of Carmen! She is a nice person, knows a lot. She is speaking better English than...More
