Not enough to get there early, you also need a voucher bought in advance from 1 Jan 2017

As they changed their policies in 2017 (but forget to let people know as of 4 Jan), it's not enough... read more

We pitched up unannounced mid-morning on the 10th Jan and were able to catch the very next tour. After a short walk through the forest we got on a rowing boat for a trip out onto the lagoon and saw flamingoes, pelicans and cormorants pretty...More

An interesting little excursion out of Cienfuegos, walking with a guide round the lagoon then by small rowing boat to see (and photograph) the flamingos and other water birds. If that appeals don't hesitate to go unless you have issues walking on rough country paths...More

We were advised to take the first boat as the bird life and light is better for photography at that time. Despite arriving before 8 am we missed the first boat. Flamingos lined the periphery of the lake but there are nowhere near as many...More

Something that has to be experienced if you are in the area. Small boast take you out onto a lagoon and the flamingos are everywhere.

The lagoon with its flamingos is very beautifull and it was a wonderful and very quiet trip from Cienfuegos to this lagoon. We can recommend this for all people who love the nature and animals.

A unique experience in a small boat being rowed out 2km to view the flamingos. Narrative by a guide on the walk to lagoon was most informative, good English was spoken and appreciated.

It is about a 15 minute walk to the lagoon. Bugs? Not any more than normal. You might see some ant piles and crabs but they will not bother you.
