As one other reviewer said this is not a flowery place but a park where you can see many different trees that grow in Cuba. The best thing about our tour was the speaker whose English was fine and he had a great sense of...More

Mainly dedicated to trees and not flowers. Beautiful in spring with blooms galore. Get a good guide from gardens because nothing labeled and you will miss a wealth of information. Go in am to avoid heat.

Its worthwihle to take a guide for some 10 CUC's. Highly eduacated botanical specialists let you see plants, trees and teir history through another pair of spectacles. They take teir time for you (1-2 hours)

We came on our own and were placed in a big, mixed group with a guide who was more interested in telling jokes than serious guiding. Besides, he had to guide both in English and French, which was a difficult and time-consuming task. We left...More

We had the great good luck of seeing this with one of the staff who not only spoke good English but had a great sense of humor. Everyone had a great time, learned a lot about the flora in the Garden and found it interesting.

This is a grueling drive thru country side that is nice but roads in bad shape for large buses. Once again there was no English speaking guide, so rather than listen to the lecture twice, I skipped ahead to the lovely bar/restaurant at the end...More

As others have said, you won’t find brick pathways lined with bougainvillea or manicured flower beds here. This is a natural garden which apparently in Cuba means overgrown grounds with some interesting trees that are sorely in need of pruning. It was a beautiful day...More

First, let me say that we are NOT a couple who just HAVE to visit every botanical garden because we are gardeners. We are always interested, but not obsessed with local flora. This "garden" is totally natural. Plants have not been placed in carefully designed...More

I went on a tour and was slightly disappointed. We saw some great trees but I was expecting flowers or other flora. The guide was very knowledgeable though. Maybe we needed more time than was allocated.

The Botanical gardens had some great trees and plants. Loved the cactus house!! Some of the trees and bamboo were massive!! It was pretty buggy though so bring bug spray

Could be tricky. They do have guides on site but I don't think you can pre- book them.
