It's a nice ferry ride to go there, but the castle is too expensive. Take a picture from the outside and get a boat for the beach!

A couple of things to know about this attraction: First, the fort is quite small, and costs 5 CUC to enter, which seems a bit steep given how little there is to see and do. Second, the 1:00 ferry was absolutely packed, wall to wall,...More

The hardest part was finding the ferry dock! It's between Ave 46 and Calle 2. Our Casa were kind enough to ring and find out what times the boat was due to leave and we made it in the nick of time. From memory we...More

Good for a short visit from Cienfuegos, esp. if you take the shot boat ride over to it. The museum guides are very knowledgeable.

It is a place to re live old way of the French and Spanish. A place I used to frequent as a child and loved every minute of it, crossing to Pasacaballos and back then taking the ferry across the bay to Cienfuegos. It is...More

For 1 CUC, you can take a ferry across the bay from the town over to the fort. The ferry is crowded with local travelers, so if you need a seat, board early. The fort made for an interesting visit, and there is a restaurant/bar...More

If you are taking the ferry direct from Cienfuegos, your hotel or casa should be able to guide you. We did ours as part of a day trip and hired a taxi for the day.
