Lovely plaza

Make sure to go up into Palacio Ferrer to get a birds eye view of the park. Nice park. Public wifi there as well. Feeds on to streets with shopping.

This is the nicest square in Cienfuegos, i is flanked by renovated colonial buildings, it is flanked by the opera house, the main church, the house of culture and the civic office building. There are small shops underneath the arcades which sell handicrafts. In tthe centre is a lsmall area with trees and benches and a statue of Marti. It... More

A great location to check out some of the history on Cienfuegos. This was a stop on our tour of the city.

The city centre of Cienfuegos has been a World Heritage Site since 2005. Our coach tour set us down in Plaza Jose Marti and told us that we had a couple of hours to wander around. There are some beautiful buildings in the city centre and the numerous side streets have market stalls offering all sorts of merchandise. Wi-fi is... More

Underneath the shade and shelter of the bandstand on the square I sat with other tourists and a long time wood carver, Angel, who has spent the past 25 years or so socializing and selling little carvings there. There was Teatro Terry to explore, live music on occasion for free in the evenings and cafes abounding. The souvenir and gallery... More

This is a beautiful place to come for some quite time. The cafes around are good and the prices are not ridicules. The buildings are old and are well kept.

This is the main square in the city. There are several cafes in this area and a bank to change your money. The shops have their good cigars and rum. This is great for a daily walk about and to cool off at the side cafes.

We stopped off here on our trip through to see the architecture, the theatre and have a trip on a boat in the bay. Amazing large plaza with many lots of statues and small bandstands. Worth a visit if passing.

This is a striking plaza. The 360 degree view is stunning and architecture buffs should be enchanted for hours. Our panorama shots are too large to upload to tripadvisor but they are stunning.
