Bruce Peninsula PRIVATE TOUR

Toronto EcoAdventures is proud to offer unique day trips to national and provincial parks, nature reserves and small towns outside of Toronto. Our tours are designed to feel like a road trip with friends; where you get to meet new people, discover hidden gems and enjoy the great outdoors!

Explore one of the natural wonders of Ontario, where the water is turquoise and the forest surrounding it is snowy and peaceful. The Bruce Peninsula is located on Georgian Bay and this trip is a great opportunity to take a day to explore the areas magnificent beauty in the winter- without the large crowds that flock to its cliffs during warmer months. We will also be stopping by the quaint historic town of Wiarton (home of Wiarton Willie!) as well as Inglis Falls, which looks completely different in winter, transformed by ice and snow. Toronto EcoAdventures welcomes you to come out and enjoy the winter on our Bruce Peninsula day trip!

If your going through Wiarton you must stop at the Painted Turtle. There is is a Jewellery making area, my daughter and I made bracelets and necklaces, which didn’t take too long. There are some nice benches outside in the shade for husbands to wait. Inside there are a lot of neat gift items, some funky clothes and accessories. The ladies that work there are so nice too!

It is always an intriguing experience to venture through the Painted Turtle. So many products from clothing , books, precious and semi precious stones, to resident friendly cat. The owner and staff are always ready with a welcome and happy to assist if needed. I often find something I wasn't even looking for . The PT is yours to discover . Whether just browsing around on your own or looking for a fun family activity of jewelry making , time and money spent here is worth it !

We stopped at this store on our way to Tobormory and we were not disappointed! This store has so many cool things to look at and buy. You can buy jewelry already made or make your own. I made a beautiful Chakra bracelet with semi precious stones and lava stones. The woman who helped me was wonderful and I believe she was the owner or one of the owners. I will definitely be back to this store with my husband again when we are in this area. Namaste.

Cathy and Wenda from the Painted Turtle, Wiarton are a MUST VISIT when you are in Bruce County. The store itself is a quaint cottage with a dual purpose. One side is full of everything a crafty beader could ever want (and helium party balloons if you need them!) while the other side is crammed full of books, stones, jewelry, home decor items, prayer flags, singing bowls and much more. Cathy and Wenda have many repeat visitors and know most by name even if they only see you once a year. Wenda is a wealth of knowledge for all things bead-related, and I always come away armed with new project ideas and new techniques. Don't miss this delightful store in Wiarton!
