A great way to spend a sunny afternoon with options of longer hikes on the trail of your choice. The sifto trail takes you along the river to Lake Huron and a historic over 200 year old tree. Or a longer trail along the river down stream to the historic Tiger Dunlop Tomb.

The "Alberta clipper" wind was blowing in off Lake Huron on November 1, and it was strong enough to make me doff my hat and carry it. Indeed, the wind was so strong that the waves on the Maitland River were going inland. The view was, as always, spectacular.

Not only is this a pretty neat piece of history, but a wonderful spot to stop and take some photos! It's an easy walk to the bridge, on a stone dust path, which makes it great for all ages and abilities.
