We made a quick stop here as we were driving through Liverpool. Unfortunately we were unable to go inside the lighthouse as it had already closed for the day, but the surrounding park and water views around here are lovely.

Sitting on the point near the mouth of the Mersey River, this well maintained lighthouse is easily accessed. There was lots of parking available, several informative interpretive signs, especially about the privateers that called the port of Liverpool home. Well worth the visit, especially if...More

This lighthouse is in good shape, we did not climb to the top, it is located not far from our hotel in a park.

Beautiful park. Beautiful view. It is worth the trip to go by the beautiful houses on the street to get there. Dry interesting park with cannons and history. It is worth seeing if you are in the area.

We ended up here by following the Lighthouse trail on the south shore of Nova Scotia. I liked that this lighthouse was open so that you could go inside and climb up to look out. The climb was steep, but doable for most I expect....More

Very cute little tour. You can go up to the lookout and blow the fog horn! On the 2nd floor there is an interesting short video interviewing a member of the last family to live in the lighthouse full time. Be careful coming back down...More

I've been to Liverpool a couple of times and only recently happened up Fort Point Park. Wow! It is a beautiful spot and a must see if you are in the area. Take a picnic or just stroll along the water. Seems very well maintained.
