Taught the kids all
About making paper. Shaked and his sister were great. Several mehadrin places to eat in Zichron Yaakov as well. Nice artsy place to walk around. Parking isn’t so fantastic but there was a lot about a ten minute walk away.

We had a truly lovely time at the paper making workshop! We were two parents and six kids aged 5 to 17 and each person had a great time. We learned a lot about the history of paper making and made our own designer sheets from bark til the final product. We have done many workshops in different countries over the last years and this one stands out as really excellent! The owners are kind and were very flexible with timing and quick to answer messages. Highly recommended!!!! Thank you shaked and timna!

The paper workshop was excellent - and I would say great for families with a wide range of ages. This is not regular wood pulp paper making - it is more creative, educational and fun. We did it with 4 people ranging in age from late 60s to 9years old and all enjoyed. The guides are great and it is clearly an art form they love & believe in. I highly recommend it.

We went to tut neyar with three kids 4,6 and 8. The activity was run by the owners son in English for us and my kids all had a great time. It was hands on and they all came away with their own handmade paper. Once you have made the paper you can explore the high street and then come back to get your paper. The gallery is also beautiful to look and and you can buy some of the other work. A great family run business and a good time had by all. Highly recommended.

We booked a 10 am lesson, the first one,on how to make paper from mulberry trees. We are a family of 5, mom dad, 9 year old boy, 7 year old b and g twins. During the Passover vacation usually things are mobbed, and so we made the first appointment, since parking in the area can be tight. It is on the main drag, Midrachov, which is closed to vehicular traffic. (there is shopping and food and it is a nice walk)

It cost 250 NIS for all of us to do the workshop. The teacher, Shaked, was so sweet and patient. He taught us where the pulp came from, told us that first you cook it, then we got to lay it out and bang it, and resoak it and make paper.

Tut Neyar is situated in a beautiful garden area, you can pick the flowers to add to your paper. We even learned a bit about some of the flowers in the garden. They showed us how they make very large sheets, and there is a gallery for buying their handmade wears.

The kids had a great time, the workshop takes about an hour, but if you want the paper, you have to come back after it is dry. There are plenty of things to do near by, we took a walk down the Midrachov , and walked out to the park near by, and ate a picnic lunch, then the kids played and then we walked back, we left zichron yaakov around 2.

They offer the workshop in Hebrew and English. You need to make a reservation. If more people would have ended up joining us it would have been cheaper.

We had a great time, it was fun, educational , outdoors, I felt like it was a bit on the expensive side for an hour, the parking was a challenge and of course, if you want the paper you have to find something to do in the mean time, though, they did offer to mail it to us. It wasn't such an issue since we had something to do, but if we had not planned for that it could have been not so fun. It was the extra picnic, park and other activities on the Midrachov that made the day extra special.

It is easily accessible for a wheel chair or other handicapped access. Also this is a good activity for kids who have special need, though sensory issues could be a problem, since the pulp has a certain feeling some kids don't like, but they are willing to do most of the work for you, so said child could always watch.

Thanks for your visit :) and for the first tripadvisor review just letting you know that if you don't have time to wait in Zichron you can take the paper wet and dry it on your way.

A hands on experience that was very much enjoyed by our children aged 9 and 7 with the decorated paper being a lovely souvenir to take home. Timna who gave the workshop was excellent at getting the children and their parents engaged.

Wonderful place to learn the history of papermaking and experience firsthand the actual labor behind this art. We were a group of over 60s and had a real blast. Shaked was lots of fun and had loads of patience even for us. Highly recommend making a trip to visit here.
