I was expecting much more from this site given the history of slave trading in the area. Too bad there isn't more respect given to this site. Not much to see just a couple of signs and a small kiosk. The small shackles in concrete...More

We saw information about this at the Natchez Visitor Center and our tour guide talked about it on our Open Air Tour. We made sure that we went to see it while in Natchez. This is like maybe 10 minutes of your time and that...More

This expanded on the exhibit at the Visitor's Center and may have given me a clue on my mystery ancestry.

This is hard to find and when you do find it it seems like it could be made into something more than what it is. It is a very good well done monument and if you see it you will think something so small shouldn’t...More

I wish this included more info about this specific location, but it is still sobering to read the boards' descriptions of the slave trade in the South. Also, traveling west, I drove past it although I've been before.

Definitely worth a stop. It is small and inconspicuous, but will make you think. I think thats the point of it. Sobering and very moving. Easy to find.
