I don't know about other people, but I love taking photos in cemeteries. The contrast of the white and grey stone with the green lawns is strikingly beautiful. I walked through, so I didn't get the audio tour that you can take if you drive. None the less, it was great to just wander and look at some of the... More

I have already mentioned this cemetery in another post but shall elaborate. Considering the small size of Natchez the cemetery is quite large and meticulously maintained. Several nice examples of 19th and early 20th century funerary statuary are scattered throughout. Well worth a visit.

Graves going back to before the civil war. Elaborate markers, and some rather plain, all honoring thOse buried there. In a city where there were more millionaires than in nyc before the civil war it is easy to see that expense did not matter when they bought grave markers.

I wasn't interested in paying that because what do I do with the book after? They should have... More

Great place to visit! So interesting and visually appealing. So many stories buried here. Even the grandkids enjoyed it. Must see the turning angel

We tried to drive through this but it is only suitable for a small car not a pickup truck, however we did take a walk through it is very interesting and there is seating if you get tired. This is a majestic place full of history and culture of the past and present, very well kept. Be sure to see... More

Be sure to either have a guide, or get the CD tour of the cemetery to put in your car CD player - it's fantastic!
