Once the thriving local Jewish community built this impressive house of worship. Sadly, with changing times the congregation dwindled and is now small, but very welcoming. Try to make a Shabbat Service.

We attended a evening of Jewish music. Had three musicians. The one young man played the pipe organ. Spent too much time on music history. Would've like to hear more music.

Very interesting building with informative historical marker. Didn't realize that Natchez had many Jewish families that were leaders of the community. Many played important roles in the history of the town.

I suppose this is an unusual review as we didn't get to see this place or learn of it's history. Don't even know if it is still "open". Maybe next time. Did see the temple in Greenville MS - great history and beautiful building.

The reason for average rating: We were on a carriage ride tour and only saw the outside of the building which is absolutely beautiful. We didn't have time to tour but hope to visit it on our next visit to Natchez.

Many of the congregations of the old churches and temples in Natchez are small enough that the survival of their houses of worship are in question. The Temple B'Nai's congregation is very small... the world beyond Natchez beckons to the children of the remaining members......More
