This was the best guided hike ever! Debra went out of her way to customize a special hike of a life time for this Texas crew. The combination of Debra's wealth of knowledge of the forest history and her excitement and passion for nature created never a dull moment. We started at the E. Peak of Mt. Tam and ended... More

If you love fresh air, the smell of redwoods & eucalyptus and exercise, then this is for you. You can walk the Muir woods trails without a guide and the earlier you get there, the more peaceful the walk.

As part of our company's commitment to service, we paired with Debra for an amazing afternoon hike to West Point Inn. Words can't describe the sheer beauty of the mountain trails and views. However, a few words that come to mind to describe Debra are passionate, knowledgeable, humorous, and delightful. She is a true gift. We were able to learn... More

Absolutely incredible. I booked it the week before my trip to SF and it was as though Debra and I had been friends for year. She took care of every detail, and offered up numerous options to meet our needs. The lunch was fabulous, and the walking sticks came in super handy. Debra is a caring, passionate individual, perfect to... More

My daughter and I had a personal tour with Debra on the Tennessee Valley trail. We had great weather (no fog) and the coastal views were spectacular. We had a very relaxed hike with Debra, who provided great conversation about the history of northern California/Marin county/Mill Valley, history of conservation efforts, and natural history of the area. Order the lunch... More

We hiked for 2 days last year, and did another 2 days of hiking this year. This isn't just a hike. It's a tailored experience which includes beautiful sights embroidered with history and geology. Debra's love for the land is contagious. We will be back for another 2!

Debra was great, she was so helpful with all our questions when planning the hike, and so knowledgeable about the history of the area. I would definitely recommend using Tam Hiking Tours again for any future trips to the Bay area.

I was fortunate to find Debra to help make our family vacation just "even better". Debra was in close communication with us making sure that we knew where to meet her, what to bring and asking what lunch preferences we preferred. Not only did our grown family of five get to enjoy the private forest and redwoods she took us... More

Our guide Debra went above and beyond in every capacity to provide us with a unforgettable experience at Muir Woods. Interaction before we arrived was top notch. Payment info, meeting points, etc were all clearly communicated; and Debra inquired about our main interests so she could prepare thoughtful and interesting commentary for our hike. On our hike day, meet-up was... More
