    Awesome beach
We went to this beach almost every day, subbed and parasol at the waters edge. The sea is clear and beautifully warm. Also you can order food and drinks which are delivered to you on a table beside the sunbeds. Fab beach

    Quiet beach option…..
The beach front is lined with sun loungers attached to various different hotels and restaurants - be aware some of the loungers are only for hotel guests. Worth checking first. Others will be free - with the assumption you buy drinks or food from the restaurant it’s attached too. Would strongly recommend walking further down towards Marmaris (opposite end of pier) towards a beach called Turunc. Loungers cost 90TL each but no one bothers you for food and drink. Spent 6 hrs here and one local offered sweet corn another shell fish. Can recommend the sweetcorn and it provides excellent bait for attracting the fish in water. The water is crystal clear and significantly deeper - approx 10 m by the boundary rope. Can see all the way to the sea bed.

    Well worth going here
Mostly its absolutely brilliant. Beach is gritty and not sand but this isnt a major issue. Sea is warm and clear alot of the time but sometimes can appear murky with small bits of litter, locals says this is run off from the mountains after the massive fires they suffered a couple of years ago. Many beach restaurants and bars with free sunbeds and waiting staff along the promenade, good local food to suit any taste. Well worth getting settled for the day.

Lovely beach, a nice relaxing day
A lovely beach, fine shingle, not sandy, that didn't bother us, though. Have a walk a long the promanard and you can find somewhere best for you. There are some parts that are packed in, like sardines, and lots of other areas that are more spaced out. Most of the bars along the seafront have their own sunbeds and if you eat and drink with them you can have access to their WiFi, showers and alot of them offer a free ride back to your hotel. There is a part of the beach that is free but doesn't offer any shade for your little ones, we came mid-September, and we had temperatures of nearly 40 degrees, so be mindful. The views are amazing, lots of boat trips you can go on. Water sports are available too. We used the sunbeds at Babam, and the food was lovely, service to your sunbed so you can just relax. Lovely relaxing day.

    Pablo beach
Just love this beach. Pablo who manages the section of beach we used is a lovely man. He makes you feel really welcome and I'd so friendly. The cost of two sunbeds and parasol is very cheap and worth every penny. We used this beach 12 days out of 14 and would definitely return.

    Beautiful beach
Beach is full of loungers with loads of free ones. It is much better and calmer experience than Marmaris beach. Cafes give you a free lounger if you buy any food or drings. We bought a pizza two cold drinks and an ince cream for 470 lira. Food was good and servuce was very friendly and welcoming. Would definatelly recommend and would visit myself again if we come back.

ventured down to Içmeler beach while staying very local to it. Pleasantly found that our hotel had some reserved loungers on the beach, as did other hotels...not sure how use of these are monitored as no staff around.
Beach is nice, theres a lovely promenade we walked down on a few evenings, hotels and bars with live music and ice cream vendors...nice evening walk.
There are water sports available on the beach; we did a ride on big mabel and jet skis for 15 minutes and rented a speed boat with one of the vendors at the end of the beach near the harbour. The jet skis and mable were good, had to wait for about 40 minutes for the jet skis as think the share the use of these with other vendors but both were good experiences.
I personally would not recommend renting the speed boat experience. We rented for 2 hours and got a third free. They gave us basic instructions and sent us on our way, telling us if we came across the coastguard to tell them we had borrowed the boat not rented (very insistent about this). We were in a boat called the "Deniz dickle", which was described to us as very good, can drink and have our own music, sunbathe and jump off the front once anchored up. The experience we got was shoddy; the boat was older and dirty inside, and the windscreen was scratched and cracked within an inch of its useful life. Should have probably demanded a different boat but went anyway. After about 8 minutes became clear the windscreen is actually dangerous hinderance to safe use and when we tried to drop anchor (which was more of a grapling hook than an anchor) could not get the blumming thing to anchor in, boat kept moving around and on a couple of occasions came very close to the shallows. Was not the relaxing and fun experience we had imagined. On return mentioned the anchoring difficulty and the owner indicated it was our issue and happily ignored our complaints.
At least we know to rent a car next time and not a speed boat.

The last review I read before writing this awarded this beach one star and described it as like a builders yard. What utter rubbish!
There is avery small area at the Marmaris end which is a bit stony, but this represents a fraction of one percent of the beach. It is not soft sand, it is a bit gritty, but this is common to many beaches.
There are thousands of sunbeds, all are owned by the various hotels and restaurants along the beach front, and the majority are happy to let you use them as long as you buy a drink or snack. There are a minority which impose a charge, just avoid them, most do not. There are also sections of public beach, bring your own chair or just lay out you towel.
Water sports are up and running, you can get water taxis to Torunc or Marmaris from the stone jetty about centre of the beach. There are various points at which you can book boat trips, I booked with Deniz whose kiosk is just beside the jetty, very friendly and helpful.
Walking along the beachfront you do not have to wear a mask, although some do. It is a very popular place for an evening stroll, and although the tourist trade is just getting underway, there are plenty of places to stop off for a refreshment

This is one of the very worst beaches I have been on. The ground feels like a builder's yard and is very uncomfortable underfoot. The worst thing though was watching boats returning from day trips and seeing them empty what could have been anything into the water. This could have been toilets, could have been bilge water but whatever it was it ended my time of heading to the beach. I enjoyed my time in Icmeler (see separate review for the Fortuna) and may well return some time. If I do, I will never go back to this beach and I cannot recommend it to anyone.

We visited last month Aug 2020..most hotels have their own private beach..some are golden sand and some are made up of sharp sand.
There are also public beaches all beaches are manned by a life guard and are clean...

We took a water taxi from the central Marmaris marina, and paid TRY150 for 2 people one way to the beach area of Icemeler. What we saw of this beach is that it’s a thin, narrow, small, stoney beach; nothing spectacular. We walked through the town area alongside water canals where smaller boats were moored; very pretty & a tiny bit like Venice. We caught the Dolmus back to Marmaris city centre, which cost TRY24 for 2 people.

You can enjoy a lovely walk along this beach, that naturally sweeps along giving an interesting meander. Even the sand grains slightly change as you walk along. You can choose to walk alongside and avoid the sand if you wish. You can also sunbathe right up to where the sand meets the sea. My only bugbear is the constant pestering from staff at the sea front restaurants wanting your attention and insisting you eat or drink there. They behave almost offended by a polite “no thanks”

They are building qnd making new roads people moaning but its a start of the season so they are preparing for the summer. It hasn't spoilt icmeler but some people think they are special and deserve builders to stop just for them lol

If you wanted shopping on your doorstep then choose marmaris resorts if you want close by shopping and more peaceful area choose lotus hotel or hotels directly at icmeler.

If you hate road works or fact that these Turkey resorts are getting bigger I suggest you don't bother coming here
