Beachlife, restaurants, views and anything else you could possibly think of are perfect here. BUT, the place fills up quite rapidly and spacis, especially in the Covid-19 era, are limited. So, make sure to get here before 10, at high season days may be even 9 or before!

Spent a gorgeous day at the beach and went to return but unfortunately our day was completely ruined by The traffic controller who blatantly allowed everyone other car apart from ours through because we were English speaking foreigners. We asked why this was the case, he was so aggressively rude telling us to turn around while allowing other cars through and said “beach and house different” I can assure you 90% of the cars were not from the area while many others had rented vehicles also. Totally disrespectfully and highly insulting when we just wanted to enjoy a day at the beach but are instead subjected to such ridiculous forms of racism because we are not Spanish speaking. Not good for the areas tourism industry for public officials to behave in this way, very disappointing end to our holiday in this area and very off putting for a return.

We hiked national park de la Granadella and to our biggest surprise after climbing rocks around a mountain rug we viewed playa the la Granadella where we kayaked last summer. This is simply a stunning and beautiful beach. In Februari without all tourists and beach guests it’s how mothe nature created beaches. Turquoise blue clear waters, sounds of birds, beautiful green and rocky cliffs. Sit there and listen to the sounds of the waves. If you can’t soak up nature and relax here.. you will probably not find a better place. Hopefully this beach will be protected from mass tourism the way it is situated.

We had to make Playa La Granadella a stop during our summer vacation as it had such high ratings for Spanish beaches. The beach itself is very beautiful with cliff's on each side to really take in the Spanish setting. Be advised it is a pebbly beach so water shoes are recommended. The water was warm and inviting in the summer with wonderful turquoise hints to it. It is a small stretch of beach and it gets crowded quickly so I would advise to get there early so you get a good spot. Also, parking can be a bear here as it winds up a large hill. If you have a rental car, again I would advise to get here early or you will not have a good time finding a parking spot.

Set in a stunning cove with turquoise waters on the edge of Granadella national park. This pebble beach is a big favourite. Often Deserted out of season. Can be very busy in summer. There is limited parking but a shuttle bus operates in August.
