We're a leading Spanish shipping company that specializes in passenger and rolling cargo transport among the Balearic Islands and also as one of the largest operators in the Strait of Gibraltar. Our company also provides services in the Caribbean. We operate routes between mainland Spain (the ports of Barcelona, Valencia and Denia) and the Balearic Islands in addition to being the only company that connects these islands together. On the other hand, we work the Algeciras-Tangier and Algeciras-Ceuta lines in the Strait (the main connecting point between Europe and Africa). Our commitment to internationalization, which began at the end of 2011, has taken us to operating services between the United States and the Bahamas under the Bahamas Express brand. Founded in 1998 in Denia (Alicante), we are now a reference as concerns service, innovation and social responsibility in the maritime transport sector. With a fleet of 23 ships and more than 1,000 employees, our shipping company is held by Adolfo Utor (57.5%), the Chairman of the company, and the Matutes Group (42.5%).

The trip is long! 8 hours on a ship that starts at 17.30 makes for a long night. It doesn't help that it started an hour late. The seats were as well as can be expected in economy with seat that recline slightly. Unfortunately they...More

Staff very unhelpful, disorganised chaos embarking and disembarking, very rough sea waters (which I know can’t be helped) but no warning and everyone started being sick. Over priced cabins €100!! the ticket cost wasn’t even that! It was dirty.

We apologize if the experience has not been satisfactory. If you give us the name of the ship in which you have travelled, we can move it to improve customer service. Regards,

It depends on the time of year, the car, and whether or not you’re a resident of the islands. They often have promotions. Just go to balearea’s website And input your data, it will give you a series of choices.
