It's been years since we've been to Camp Verde and my how it has grown. We stopped at the Visitors Center and talked to a wonderful volunteer about the area and she had some wonderful knowledge and information about the area.

It is a very small Visitor Center/Museum. It is very specific to the immediate local area. The local volunteer was as friendly and helpful as you could ask for. She walked us through several of the exhibits giving us a lot of additional information and also answered our questions about other places to visit in the general area.

Taking the scenic route from Scottsdale to Sedona you will drive right past this great visitor center, right in downtown Camp Verde. We were the only ones there and the lady staffing the center personally help us pick up useful pamphlets. There is also a small museum there where she explained some of the items and answered our questions. Thanks to a staff person who totally exceeded my expectations of terrific customer service.

I went over to Camp Verde looking for a job (which I unfortunately didn't get) and popped into the historical society's museum. My uncle (by marriage) was born in Camp Verde. So it was lots of fun to see a sign thanking the pioneers of Camp Verde listing my uncle's family of Murdock. I tell all my cousins (his children) that they need to visit the museum when they are in the area. I enjoyed the personalization of the museum, I volunteer at Sharlot Hall and your museum ranks right up there, even though you are small.

We are sorry the job didn't work out, but how kind of you to visit us and leave a nice review. Wow, we are honored for the mention of Sharlot Hall museum--we just did a field trip there and appreciate you seeing us that way. Thank you for allowing us to share in the story of your family history.

What a beautiful little place with soooo much history. The lady was very knowledgeable and helpful. Neat to see the original tin roof and oak floors that once was the elementary school.
