This is a great park to enjoy on a cool Fall day, particularly to people-watch. There are benches along the way so one can sit and just observe or take in the calmness away from the crowd. The trompe l’œil paintings are amazing.

A beautiful walk right downtown. I loved the variety of art along the walk. There are many restaurants close by and benches to sit and people watch.

The city of Frederick truly outdid itself. The walking park along Carroll Creek is serene and an incredible work of architectural design. Local sculpture and artwork line the lengthy walkway with multiple water features. Water lilies shade fish small and large.

This park features a creek surround by a walking trail. The park stretches several blocks so if you plan to walk the entire park allow a good amount of time. There are several bridges that cross the creek that are accessible from the main trail and provide great views of the creek below. Depending on what area you are in the park the surroundings are slightly different. Some areas had sculptures in the creek and others had fountains. Some areas were wider than others. Benches are available to sit down. I'd strongly suggest walking the entire park to get the full experience. Dining is available at restaurants right next to the park.

Downtown Frederick features this well designed linear park following Carroll Creek with two resident Mallard ducks and numerous artworks along the spanking new looking red brick road. There are several lovely water spots and slowing fountains and one can walk or ride bike for quite a ways. Perfect for families, runners, bikes, or couples strolling. The place features some very hip looking eateries and breweries and cafes, very clean and modern and hope they open soon. Afterwards E Patrick street is a lovely strip of well maintained period houses and cafes and cool stores - very wlkable and picturesque. Caveats: Currently there are a handful of rough looking homeless men and street punks hanging out in the town center, as some politicos idea of 'fighting for' the poor is tossing them out into public spaces. However they seem fairly harmless. Driving: If you come in from Rt 15N on Patrick St, you will not be aware that you are diverted to South St and end up just south of the park, and must turn left (North) to get there. There is free parking on off streets mostly east of Market and also a public garage.
