This park is all along a canal. At least in early September, the flowers in the water are absolutely beautiful. The water lilies are orange, pink, purple and red. That alone would be worth the price of admission--except there is no admission charge. There are sculptures and paintings along the way. The trompe l'oeil paintings are especially worth giving a... Take a leisurely stroll along the Carrol Creek Linear Park before or after dining at one of the many restaurants in downtown Frederick. Be sure to closely observe all of the artwork along the way! Combine your visit with one of the First Saturdays (first Saturday of each month) or spend some time at the Alive @ Five which is... More

Make sure to stop for ice cream, or dine at one of the quaint restaurants. It is wonderful! My family loves going there.

Frederick has done a great job restoring this area. Lots of people out walking. Fountains, art, lots of restaurants along the way where you can sit outside and eat.

One of Frederick's beautiful and unique features. Originally an unsightly creek that threatened the city with flooding, was developed into a flood control conduit and then transformed into a beautiful focal point of art & entertainment. Water plants, sitting areas and murals provide a relaxing area to stroll, socialize, enjoy the fresh air and people watch either alone, with a... More

The place is a nice stroll and there are shops along the way. It is a great place to take a picture. The lilies add color to the creek and they look very beautiful. It is cool to see the ducks and the huge fishes in there.

The perfect place for a romantic picnic. The art work is beautiful. The lawn is in perfect shape. Had a great time watching people walking, feeding the ducks. Can't wait to visit again.

My wife and I have been to this park many, many times and it never disappoints. The creek contains many flowering lotus and water lily plants, as well as ducks and fish. There are also several very nice fountains and bridges and tromp d'oeil artworks on the sides of the bridges. It's a surprisingly pleasant place to take a stroll... More

The Canal Walk in Frederick is a place where people gather for festivals, dining and just taking a pleasant walk. My husband and I get to Frederick about once a month just to enjoy this area of the city.

Took a quick stroll along Carrol Creek Linear Park last night while waiting for the time of our dinner reservation close by. I look forward to returning and eating outdoors in one of the many restaurants that line the lovely area. There are places to sit, relax and just enjoy the tranquil scenery of the water plants, murals and fountains.... More
