Over fifty exhibitions are shown at the Delaplaine each year in eight different galleries. “We strive to maintain a balance between the familiar and the avant-garde, the local and the regional, and the professional and the amateur artist,” explained Manager of Exhibits Diane Sibbison. The center provides the Frederick region with educational opportunities and experiences in the visual arts through classes, exhibits, and programs and it does so with enthusiasm and a creative flare.

They have a cool little shop where they sell jewelry, photographs, and prints all from local artists. The prices are very good for something original. They also have a cool banquet facility for large advance. Our running club has our annual banquet hear it every year. Very friendly and helpful volunteers/staff.

The Delaplaine hosts beautiful exhibits and events. It also has art classes for children and adults. I've been there for several receptions, art openings and exhibits of art and photography. I'm always impressed. The gift shop is also very nice and has affordable, unique gifts/cards.

We were walking through downtown Frederick and happened upon this building and were curious what was inside. There was some great local art and we even stumbled upon a photo shoot which was super sweet. The art was great and they even had a small area where local kids art was hanging which I thought was awesome.

Both of my daughters have taken different types of art classes (asian brush painting, etc...) at Delaplaine and have thoroughly enjoyed them! Its a nice little building with a convenient downtown location. I have also attended events in their small ballroom which is nice as well. There is a cool little store inside that sells various forms of art and... More

We popped in on a cold and blustery day to escape the cold and the staff welcomed us inside. There was an art show on display and we could have easily taken home several pieces. They also have a nice shop offering local artists items on sale. We enjoyed our visit!

On our first visit to Frederick, we stopped into this art center and were delighted with the photo exhibits in particular. There are multiple floors and galleries and several concurrent shows were hung. Liked it so much that a couple of us made a purchase. If we lived nearby, would definitely come regularly and perhaps take classes too.

Great little place right on Carroll Creek in Historic Downtown Frederick. Local art, and a great selection of affordable jewelry made by local artists. A great room for events and friendly volunteers working there.

This is a nice facility located along the Carroll Creek promenade in the city. If you are nearby it's worth sticking your head in. If I was traveling, I doubt I'd make it a destination by itself. Great friendly people and a local artisans gallery.

This arts place is next to the canal in Frederick. They showcase local artists, in which you can buy their artwork. There are art classes (although I have yet to go to one), So, if you're in the area, stop by. You might just find a unique piece of art to purchase.
