An escape room is a live action adventure game in which players enter a themed room and have to find clues and use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles and riddles. You have just 60 minutes to complete the mission and escape the room.

After doing 94 escape rooms, I was not sure what I would get being this was my first time at Escape This. Well they had some really near clues that I had not seen before. I enjoyed the maffia room. The owner was super nice to our group of 7. I will have to go back and check out the other 4 rooms. Here are some things I noticed, the hints were well thought out. The clues went in a nice linear puzzle path. There were nice decorations as well.

My family and I went here for my daughter's birthday. She is 8 and saw an escape room on one of her shows that she watches so she wanted to do one since her mother and I did it for a date night. We did the same room so we could help them figure things out. We did the Haunted one and they loved it! I highly recommend visiting Escape This Frederick as it is a new, fun thing to do in town and they are already looking to expand even with 4 rooms already available. I would recommend booking an entire room for a group of 4 or 5 as 6 adults in one room can sometimes get a little overwhelming with everyone talking and doing stuff. At some points, there will not be enough for everyone to do something when you have that many people. The Haunted room is certainly laid out well and the puzzles and riddles are a lot of fun to figure out.

First time doing an escape room and we had the most welcoming experience at Escape This! The room was challenging and fun and the staff was kind, attentive, and made us feel welcomed. I look forward to returning and trying other rooms in the future!

The wife set this up with couples from our kids Day care. It was a blast. we got to work together and learn a bit about each other. it was even better that we succeeded. The owner was very helpful and made sure we had a great time. Looking forward to my next adventure. I highly recommend this one.

Great time with 12 ur old. We did the Carnival room and much fun! Recommend to anyone looking for a fun afternoon. Put your thinking cap on!

The Crime Scene room was our 4th escape room experience, a gift from family who we of course brought with us. It was one of the more challenging adventures requiring several hints to make it through. The staff were friendly and helpful going the extra mile when we were late to our time slot. Thank you for making this forgetful grandma's night!

We had a blast at this place! Alex the owner was incredible and super accommodating. Our group was in town for the weekend for a family event and we decided last minute to play this escape room. We first signed up for the crime scene room but we were able to switch to the mafia room. The room was very clean and the staff was great with giving us helpful hints to redirect us when we were getting further from the solution, but the hints weren't excessive enough to ruin anything. We had a great time, and we were able to finish with 2 minutes left. Overall thought it was a great experience with super thought out rooms that were fun to execute. I wish we were in town longer to do more rooms! Thanks for such a fun time!

My wife and I did all five rooms here and really enjoyed them. The owners (Molly and Matthew) were friendly and spent some time talking with us about their games. We strongly recommend doing all the games here!

This was my first time at Escape This in Frederick, but I've done other escape rooms in the area. The group I was with have all done plenty of escape rooms and we can be pretty harsh judges of poorly designed rooms. Escape This was very impressive! The owner was super nice and chatted with us before and after we did the room in a way that made us really feel like he cared about his business.
The room itself (Haunted) looked great, had really neat puzzle elements, good use of technology, and the game flowed really smoothly. Haunted is apparently one of the more challenging rooms, so we did have to use our hints to finish, but I never felt frustrated or confused. Some escape rooms add puzzles and locks that make no sense or end up becoming more frustrating than fun, but that never happened here. I look forward to coming back and trying the other rooms!
