If you love landscape nature photography, this beach near the small town of Ribadeo in northwest Spain is the place for you! The natural land features, cliffs, and contrast with the ocean is just wonderful for photography enthusiasts and anyone who loves beautiful scenery. I would particularly recommend arriving just before sunset when the western setting sun bathes the entire... More

It is a very dramatic scenery. We were so lucky that there was a bagpiper playing during our visit. The downside is that it is so popular that it can't be enjoy as a beach as there are many tourists walking around all the time. It is definitely worth the visit.

I visited with my family the Beach of Cathedrals during our summer vacation in Spain. Words can describe such a beautiful place. A natural wonder. We missed the early reservations we made but won when we booked into a guided visit. The guide, a geologist that works for the Municipality of Ribadeo, made an excellent and didactic narrative of the... More

We casually found this site during our trip in the North Spain. We have to thank the access staff for booking our entrance at the moment. Then we went downstairs into the tidal plain and we visited several arches the result of sea erosion against the rocks that are very fractured. We suggest to create a visitor center with a... More

White sands, continual rolling waves and stunning views of the beach and the rock formations from the cliff top. Very happy to see that they are protecting the beach by only allowing a limited number of visitors onto the sands at any one times and a long list of do's and don'ts! Its a very popular spot but a great... More

Nice long beach with a nearby cafe if you wish to refresh yourself. Book in advance if you wish to swim, otherwise you are not allowed to enter the beach area!

We were stunned for the views of the beach. It is really important to follow the instructions and go there when the tide is low, if not, lots of caves are not visit able.

Amazing and beautiful beach. We were first here at high tide which is very nice but be sure to stay or come back during low tide to walk on the beach and among the amazing rocks. We found that low tide in the evening was less crowded.MANY tour busses are there in the morning.

- you walk beside, through and inside these cliffs and cathedrales on the beach! This is a real treat and not to be missed when visiting north Spain. stay until sunset and you will never forget this. There is a "visa" to be had before being allowed on the beach - helpful guides in place can get it for you... More

An extremely interesting nature formation in itself, but unfortunately spoiled by the mass of people there. Very few opportunities to take pictures as there are people there, people here and people everywhere. On the other hand do I have the right to complain as I was one of them? Nevertheless a disappointment as our preconception was that there would be... More
