So much stuff and so little time. Very interesting displays, histories, and a very large date nail collection. Depending on the shape of the nail, it designated the quality and type of wood used for railroad ties. Most interesting and well worth visiting.

We went mainly because of interest in the Harvey House and Harvey Girls, and found a few pictures of that which were interesting. It was fun to climb on a couple of the train cars; we've seen several videos of old deserted train cars in...More

I learned more about MJ Colter, and the AT&SF railroad here. Well done museum and free! I bought gifts for train crazed grandson as well as a metal poster of the famous Colorado Hanging Bridge. A hidden delight!

Outside there are engines and coaches exhibited which give a terrific feel for the "olden days". Inside the museum there are many interesting artefacts and exhibits in several rooms - well worth a visit inside just to see the old fire engine.

The Western America Railroad Museum is a collection of memorabilia around the railroad, it's free but there is nothing overly exciting to see. However if you are going to the Route 66 museum already it's well worth coming in for 10 minutes or so.

This small museum has surprisingly big collection of railway history related exhibits. Unfortunately they are all placed at very small area so it all becomes quite confusing. But it is worth a visit.

This is a small donation-based museum located in the Harvey House. It features a few train cars outside and historical pieces inside. There’s not a lot to see unless you are a devout train history lover who is willing to seek out something interesting. Others...More

When you are at the Harvey House center stop in. It is small but has some good history and a few railcars outside. Location is excellent and is near the current rail tracks and depot.

Lots to see here. Inside all sorts of memorabilia from the railroad days. Outside engines, cars, and equipment from the days when railroads was how most everyone traveled.

Great for train enthusiasts --- and normal tourists too! It's next door to the Rt 66 Motheroad museum so no excuses not to visit.
