Budget friendly ($10 each for a double feature!). Excellent visual and sound quality. Easy to find and easy in and out. Quiet and courteous patrons. Outside food is allowed in but there is an excellent snack bar with a large variety of options. On the night we went the other patrons were quiet and coureous. The owner/ manager is friendly, funny and easy on the eyes. Lawn chairs are alllowed outside of cars. We didn't have to sit through previews and enjoyed some fun retro drive in commercials for the snack bar and snack items. The bathrooms were clean. That part was especially fun. We went last night and it was cloudy. Barstow has minimal light pollution so any time we get a chance to sit out and watch the night sky we do. We will go back next week when it is clear so we can also enjoy the night sky. This is a lovely place to visit. The only cons are that it would be nice if the ground was paved and the bathrooms update. However, that costs money so when you go please buy a lot of snack items. The snack counter employees are efficient almost as friendly as their boss, so please tip them. Going to a drive in theater is such a treat and I wish there were more drive-in movie theaters around.

The best thing in Barstow, really friendly owner/ticket man. Really clear audio via car radio. Plenty of room, relaxed cheap and an experience very hard to find. Two films for $ 8 an absolute bargain, go to make sure this continues.

Skyline drive-in bio in Barstow is definitely worth a visit if you are passing through or live close by. We went during a stopover on a trip to Vegas

Very authentic, and a bargain if you are a movie-fan. The audio quality transmitted through your FM radio is great - very movie-theater like (depending on your car-stereo obviously).

Many people back up their pickup trucks and and watch it sitting in the back.

If you have an estate or van you can back up and watch it from from there.

If you have a four-door vehicle, the persons in front get the best experience but if you are more people I would reccomened bringing a coupe of foldable chairs for remaining passengers. We have smaller kids that could sit on our laps in the front but it was not super comfortable.

All in all, a great experience - highly recommendable!

Drove an hour to see a movie here and was refunded my money and turned away because there were not enough customers. Perhaps they should advertise this fact on any of their web pages instead of just inconveniencing people when they cant afford to operate. Just another example of a shoe string business with zero concerns for their customers.

This is one of the best attractions in the area and a must for anyone in the area. We loaded a couple of chairs from the house (glider chair and office chair) onto the back of our Chevy Avalanche, packed up a cooler of snacks, brought blankets and hoodies, and listened to the movies on our iPods. My wife and I had a great time and will be back with our kids. It's nice to be able to just walk to the bathrooms whenever you need. Movies are first run and with good clarity.

Stayed over in barstow en route to the Grand Canyon from LA. Noticed this while we were looking for a motel. Being English, drive ins are something you only see in the movies. What a great experience. We saw 2 films much cheaper than seeing one in England and sat in the car munching pizza and nachos. Loved it!!!!

This is a fabulous experience! The one problem is that they don't make car batteries like they used to and because the sound comes through your radio, it draws on the battery. We had to start the car every 30 min and run it for 10. During the second feature, the car wouldn't allow us to do this anymore with the rear door open. Thankfully everyone else had theirs turned up loud enough for us to still hear. But when the double feature was over, there were a lot of dead batteries and jump starting needed. Maybe one day they'll add speakers in the lot so this won't be an issue. But the price is excellent and the quality of the film/screen was excellent. The battery is the only reason I took one star off. We LOVED it and will go back for sure!

We had a couples night at this drive in on the edge of town -- what a great night!
Nine bucks a person gets you two movies; you won't beat that price anywhere. Add a perfect desert evening: cool breeze; zero humidity; huge stars...an absolutely great way to spend an evening in this desert town...
I certainly recommend a visit here if you're in the area!

First of all, its not just that this is one of the last working drive-ins in the U.S., the folks at Skyline really care about the customers. Let me list out whats great about this place. 1. It's a flat entrance fee per car, not person so it's cheap.
2. Double features
3. You can access either screen. So if you don't like the second show on your screen just shift left ninety degrees and watch the other screen.
4. You can bring in outside food, it's allowed.
5. They don't tolerate monkey business. This is a family place so they make sure families have a good time
6. Prices are reasonable at the snack bar when compared to theatre prices.
7. If you go at the right time, the sunsets will blow you away.
