As others have said, there isn't a lot at the top of the hill where the castle once stood. The best angle t see the castle is from the base of the hill or from Begur where it dominates. The site itself is clear but...More

The Castell De Begur is only a short walk from the main town area and well worth it for the panoramic views.

Yes this place may be a ruin, but it was still interesting to see. The view is the best part, with the ocean on one side and the town of Begur on the other. See if you can locate Montgri Castle with the telescope. Fun!...More

Gives you a great view of Begur and the surroundings. Not to hard walk/climb from most parkings, but go trough the town and back alleys to see the beautiful city. It is possible to drive closer, but it can be hard to find parking.

If you are in Begur this is a highlight. It is a steep hike on paved roads and trails perhaps 20 minutes above either of the parking lots. You could drive and try for a parking space near the start of the final trail but...More

The walk up splits people into two camps. If you consider yourself fit, do it. If not, drive up and park in the little carpark. There honestly isn't much of the castle left. (that's why they call it ruins), but the panorama way across Pals...More

A nice little climb, great views of the Mediterranean and the town of Begur below. Be sure to read the plaque at the top. It tells of the long (1000 year plus) history of Begur and the fort.

Not much of the castle left to see but the 360 panorama of the town is the best. Short walk through the old part of town leads to the castle. Ok for us but could be a little taxing for people who are no so...More

Begur castle is probably 800 years old and it shows it. There's not a lot of it remaining. However the view of Begur from the castle is great. Well worth doing an evening hike to see the view.

This is a great little 10-15 min walk up a hill to get a great view. The ruins are not much but fun to see. Go a clear day.
