Smaller bay but VERY crowded in summer months. In June could not park even though early and crowds of people. September did manage to park water deep quickly so chilly! But nice. the bar / restaurant actually on the beach is ridiculous ! Just stick to having a beer . I have never seen such high prices for food even on a beach location, and theenu is very restricted.
The waiters are really nice but ruined by a very rude fair haired girl I think manager ?
I speak Spanish enough to be understood in the water board but she seemed not to understand when I said the menu was too expensive ???

I have an apartment in Catalunya and so visit the whole area for years and years.

Greed and over development has spoilt this once fantastic freindly small resort. Boasting five restaurants, a couple of bars and shops Sa Riera was once a haven for both tourists and locals alike. However I'm afraid that with the addition of many many new builds in the immediate area that this once beautiful unspoilt cove with a great beach will be swamped and be unable to accomodate the many new residents. It is already a nightmare to park in high season and making a reservation is an absolute must if you want to eat there. Such a shame.

Stayed here mid September. The sun still here and the crowds gone..... loved our time here..... beautiful clean beach and surrounding landscape.
Clean public toilets at the beach.
Can walk round the headland and on for miles if you like.
A small selection of bars and restaurants bear the beach. Any we tried were fine.
Parking may be limited in peak season.
Nudist beaches between rocky outcrops if that's your thing!!!

While staying nearby at the fabulous medieval village of Peratallada, we popped over here to look at the very attractive coastline. We stopped off at Sa Riera and Sa Tuna and I thought that in terms of scenery, quality of beach and available restaurants etc., Sa Riera is much the better of the two.

It is a very pretty hamlet with lots of trees hugging the shoreline and sheltering some rather lovely looking houses that overlook the bay. The beach was clean and smart and the views to the little rocky islands out to sea were lovely. With a good selection of bars and restaurants it would definitely be a good place to visit for longer, but I suspect that in high season parking must be a bit of a nightmare.

This is a gorgeous little bay to spend the day at the beach. Great for swimming, snorkelling, paddle boarding and rock jumping. We rented a pedalo with a slide on the top, which my 7 year old girl absolutely loved. Euro 18 for half an hour - so not cheap to rent - but she loved it. Parking is quite faraway from the beach

Very nice views on the road down to the beach which is a steep incline, switch back road. The people are friendly. Only negative is the water is very deep very quickly but there are life guards at the beach.

Unspoilt quiet cove beach and a couple of local bars and restaurants. Avoid weekends if possible. Exclusive un-commercialised vibe. Loved it. Good for families.

It was pretty hot when we were here but it's a great beach and one the locals seem to like too. Easy to get in to the sea, with facilities nearby too.

Sa Riera is a very scenic, beautiful beach. Crowded in July and August. Good place to go anytime else!

This is a gorgeous beach with several excellent restaurants. Parking is very limited, unless you go very early. My husband enjoyed watching the boats anchored close to the beach.
