This is the highest point in Mesa Verde National Park. The ramp up can be a bit steep at points but it is worth the trip up. Park Point gives an amazing 360 view that you simply cannot beat.

Of all of the many places to appreciate the majesty of the Park and surrounding areas, this is our favourite. The walk up to the viewpoint was fairly easy with benches placed for people to rest on the way. The 8,500 feet elevation would be difficult for any visitor who has not been acclimatised so it is probably not the... More

You must walk the short trail up to the Park Point. You may get a little light headed because of the altitude but it will quickly pass. Wear a jacket, it is a little windy.

This tower is a fire look out and is the highest point in the park. On a clear day you can really see forever. Worth the walk up to the tower.

We thoroughly enjoyed the short little hike to the highest point in Mesa Verde at 8577 ft. Take your time hiking up this short steep trail.....you will see amazing views from the top!

Park Point is the highest point in Mesa Verde, at 8577ft! There are benches to stop and rest. The walk is not far, but it is straight up. I do recommend going up just to see the views. It is just stunning! This is where the rangers go to look for fires when they erupt.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed the view from Park Point! Wow! We were the only ones here at this time and we were able to enjoy this place without any other people noise. Just the wind and the sun. It was beautiful! Breathtaking! It was a long way up for two flatlanders like us. The view from this point... More

Don't miss this on your way out of the park. It is a short walk from the car park and it is uphill, but the views over the valley in front of you are second to none. Then walk back past the lookout tower and you will get great views over Mesa Verde national park

This is an easy walk for anyone slightly fit. The 360 degree view was really inspirational, yet calming. So much to see of creation. Many mountain ranges, and other geologic wonders like Shiprock. Found it hard to leave it was so beautiful. Also spent 2 days in Mesa Verde N.P. to see the ruins, and went on 2 guided tours,... More
