Santoña & Santander: Cantabrian Breeze
We will depart Bilbao early morning, direction Santoña to arrive at this little fishing village. There, we will visit a traditional canned anchovy’s company. We will learn about the manufacturing process of this high quality Cantabrian product while discovering the importance of the canning industry in the town and its evolution during the twentieth century.
Then, we will go to Santander, capital of the autonomous community of Cantabria, a cozy and quiet coastal city, with a wide bay facing south whose beauty has made it considered one of the most beautiful bays in the world. We will make a panoramic visit to the city and have free time to enjoy it.
Return to Bilbao and finish about 2:30pm.

If you are feeling fit it is an enjoyable hike around this location - but it is not an easy stroll and requires some effort. However the views are beautiful on a good day. We went on a week day when there were very few people around so nice and peaceful. However it was hot and

Starting from Santoña there's a beautiful hike along the cliffs of mount Buciero. The views from the top are stunning. If you're fit I recommend you go down the 700 steps (built by convicts) to the lighthouse. Great place to swim in the Summer! Avoid weekend bc it's a popular

Stunning views and surroundings. My wife and I decided to visit this place today after looking at photos on the internet and the place is stunning. Beware though, the nearest place to leave the car is 1.8km away and then there is a very steep, rocky and stoney hike before you
