It's one of the most emblematic places in Asturias, the view from the "faro" or lighthouse is just magnificent. A must see.
Although if you want to go down the beach, you need comfortable shoes as it's at least a 20 minute trek downhill...

This is a must see! Easy to get there and well worth it. The panoramic views of the north coast are breathtaking!

There is plenty of parking between the village of Oviñana and the lighthouse. You can even drive all the way to the lighthouse and park there. At that stage, your walking options are varied: a quick loop around the lighthouse or a longer circuit along the cliff tops to one of the nearby beaches and back to Oviñana.
Much of the path around the faro now has a barrier around the edge, but there is an extremely short, narrow section with precipitous drops that I wasn’t brave to attempt. I don’t recommend taking children around that side!
With the lighthouse behind us, we walked back towards the decorative boat in the car park, past the big holiday home called Casa del Mirador and over the cliffs, eventually coming to a set of steep, zig-zag paths which led to the next section of the cliff path. Eventually we descended a grassy track through the woodland to a gorgeous, rocky beach - a great place to spend a few hours.

When you arrive to the cape you have to go around the lighthouse and see the broken coast, on clear days you can see unforgettable 200 kms.

Great views of the coastline in glorious late October sunshine. Worth the detour of the autoroute as is the drive along the N road passing through the picturesque local villages.

Worth a short detour from the motorway. Very dramatic rugged coastal scenery. Make sure you walk full circle around the light house to see the dramatic cliff drops.

This was a beautiful walk along a beautiful bit of the coastline. It is not an easy walk and there is a minimal amount of fencing so safety has to be a key personal responsibility, especially if you have younger children.
The lighthouse was just an ordinary lighthouse not apparently open to visitors. Nonetheless it was a worthwhile walk and recommended to others.

Wild, rugged and stunning scenery. Worth the diversion off the main road. Great spot to take photographs.

The views are amazing. However, there is no safety barrier and I felt unsafe to be there with my young children so I only made a quick visit. Wish there was some proper barriers so that we could enjoy a walk and spend longer time admiring the views.
