Really lovely day. Staff very friendly and helpful. Picnic was delicious. Center was in a great location, excellent showers and toilets and a lovely seating area and bar to enjoy coffee or drink after being on the water. The river was lovely but too shallow in places so we ran aground quite a few times. No rapids really to speak of so this is a gentle relaxing kayak rather than for excitement. All in all a great day.

Dear Letshavefun, Thanks for sharing your opinion and your rating. In summer the water level of the river is low so getting stuck in some areas is something that happens. Much better in Spring and Fall. A hug from the whole team of the School I take this opportunity to tell you that you can follow us on Facebook and Twitter. We publish news about the activities we carry out with photos and videos, about Asturias, news from the School, events that we carry out ... etc.

This was extremely busy. We initially went to the wrong company as there are many companies based in the same area. It was not easy to tell them apart. It was very difficult to find the entrance and we could not have done it without the directions from a nearby company. Parking was almost full when we arrived which was about midday. There was a lot of queuing involved for check-in, safety briefing and getting the kayak. The queue to check-in was the same whether you booked in advance or not. Many kayaks were in the river making it hard to have your own space, a bit like bumper cars - more than 100 kayaks in the river at the same time which was not quite what we had in mind. The water is shallow and sometimes you have to get out to push the kayak. I am not sure if this is because of the season as we were there in the summer. We got out at the first exit which was 6km down the river. There was a delay for the bus back to the carpark/site. I am sure if it is usually this busy.

We had a great 3hr experience with this group. We called to reserve and were on the water 2hrs later! It was €80 for two adults and 2 kids and included picnic lunch and wetsuits for the kids. We did the shortest trip (easy for beginners) and were collected within 10 minutes of reaching the stopping point. Nice base to start from including bar, showers and toilets and some staff were good with English, which was helpful!

Booked this trip from home before we travelled. So glad we picked EAP to guide us canyoning with stunning Picos mountain backdrop. Diro was our excellent English-speaking guide, along with experienced Pepi, full of charm and sparkle, encouraging our 9 & 12 year olds that nothing is impossible. Great fun, exhilarating and a family activity we will always share ascend remember. Muchas Gracias hombres!

As a travel junkie who has experienced white water rafting, hiking and water slides, this activity is the ultimate for the adventure travel thrill seeker! From base camp in Arriondas, Asturias, just outside Cangas de Onis, you are outfitted with a wet suit, booties and helmet. All you need to bring is a swimsuit, hiking boots/sneakers and a change of clothes for later. It's a 30 minute scenic ride in the company van to the put in site. A quick safety talk stresses the need to use 5 points (4 limbs and your "culo") of support to prevent a spill on the slippery rocks. After fitting your climbing harness, In no time you are in the middle of a pristine mountain stream in a small canyon. The voyage involves walking, climbing, floating your way down the stream under the careful eye of the experienced, safety conscious guide. Pretty soon you are roped in for a rappel down a waterfall, OMG! Riding a waterslide toboggan into a mountain stream pool? Why not? Jumping into a refreshing grotto? Of course! The water is a cold rush but the wetsuits keep you surprisingly comfortable. I admit that I started the adventure with a bit of trepidation but the safety first attitude of our guide Pepe quickly allayed my fears and reassured this middle aged guy who's afraid of heights! I would highly recommend this adventure for the thrill seeking nature lover. It is great activity for singles, couples or groups. It's also very reasonably priced!
