No parking nearby, so don't try if you can't walk hills. It is a beautiful old castle/fort, high on the hill, overlooking the coast and Salobrena!

You can walk here from the city centre but it is quite a climb. A taxi will take you to the bottom of the steps but it is still quite a climb to get to the castle itself. Nothing special about the castle but the...More

A wonderfully restored Arabic and later addition Christian castle, dominates this coastal town. There are plenty of information boards in several languages including English gives an account of life in this imposing fortress

Bit of a hike to get up here but well worth it. Great views of surroundings and informative info boards about the castle itself.

A rather step climb up to the Castle through fairly narrow streets will reward you with very lovely views of the surrounding area. Entrance is charged at €4 unless you are over 65, in a group of 12+ or young for which they charge €2.

It was a bit of a labyrinth getting up through the Casco Antigua but that was part of the beauty; climbing through the white washed houses. I would advise on taking Google maps with you to avoid getting lost as there’s virtually no parking and...More
