This is the sort of thing I love to do when we’re traveling, so it was fun to do it as a local and experience our own city from a different viewpoint! We enjoyed the variety of cuisines from innovative Southern to pizza and tapas. Our guide, Claire, was friendly and entertaining and did her best to keep us moving and warm in some uncharacteristically miserable weather!

I was given the tour by my daughter for a birthday present. She and I went together. We stopped at three Atlanta breweries. We were given an actual tour of the production area at the largest brewery, and a few complementary small pours there. The other two breweries were much smaller, and the tour consisted of a free glass of beer of our choice. We did purchase a few other glasses of beer. I’m quite familiar with the brewing process, so touring the production areas was not that important to me. That said, the more important aspects of the experience were seeing some breweries I had not previously been to, tasting their beers, and enjoying meeting, talking and drinking with our fellow tourers. We really enjoyed that social aspect, and talking with our host, who was very cordial and outgoing. Our favorite spot was Monday Night Brewing. It’s a very friendly, rustic, colorful and upbeat place. And, as an IPA fan, I found that brewery’s Space Lettuce brew to be extremely good. We’ll definitely be back to that location. Net net, it was great fun, and the transportation and guide provided were just fine.

My sisters and I had an amazing time on our food tour for our sisters weekend in Atlanta. Our tour guide Katrina was knowledgeable and friendly and we couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to embark on this culinary adventure with. The food selection and sizes were perfect. You will not leave hungry!

This was a fun afternoon of trying new dishes that we would not have chosen on our own. We enjoyed meeting new people and hearing the history of the midtown area on our tour with Nick. The dining choices were enjoyable and we were able to eat on outside patios at each of the venues. My favorite treat was the “southern scientist cocktail” at Einstein’s, although I enjoyed it all!

We had a great walking food tour! Our guide Katrina was awesome! She was very knowable of the history on many of the midtown historic buildings as well as the newer ones poping up. At the last stop she recommended the best desert, a Heath bar ice cream pie! The tour description does not lie... your stomach will be full afterwards.

Southern Culinary Tours cancelled my tour due to not reaching minimum number. I didn’t see anywhere that they would cancel if 4 people didn’t sign up. Good thing I did a tour early in the week with their competitor which was great.

We have been on several food tours in various cities and Southern Culinary food tour was one of the best. The food and drinks were exceptional. The tour guide was knowledgeable and was great at getting the group to socialize. Right amount of fun facts and restaurants in the area. You weren't rushed and tour guide kept everyone entertained. It was a very pleasant afternoon for my husband, adult daughter and I to enjoy Atlanta.

So glad I booked this tour. We had the best time tasting food and cocktails from four restaurants we might have missed if on our own. All stops were excellent. Guide Claire did an outstanding job hosting us.

Omg, I love Atlanta! This was my first time there and I try to take a good tour in every big city I visit. The guide, Cory, was very friendly, fun and informative. The food was delicious. We had a bacon cheeseburger on a crispy cream, shrimp and chicken sausage grits (I will be dreaming about this for awhile) paella and dessert. We also had drinks served at 3 locations.

The not so great things- every restaurant had a wait to sit down and deliver the food. I’ve never experienced this on other food tours. We also never had enough seats for the group. I don’t know if this was a miscommunication error or what but it happened at each stop which was another hassle.

Overall, I’d take this tour again if the restaurants could get their acts together.
