I was given the tour by my daughter for a birthday present. She and I went together. We stopped at three Atlanta breweries. We were given an actual tour of the production area at the largest brewery, and a few complementary small pours there. The other two breweries were much smaller, and the tour consisted of a free glass of beer of our choice. We did purchase a few other glasses of beer. I’m quite familiar with the brewing process, so touring the production areas was not that important to me. That said, the more important aspects of the experience were seeing some breweries I had not previously been to, tasting their beers, and enjoying meeting, talking and drinking with our fellow tourers. We really enjoyed that social aspect, and talking with our host, who was very cordial and outgoing. Our favorite spot was Monday Night Brewing. It’s a very friendly, rustic, colorful and upbeat place. And, as an IPA fan, I found that brewery’s Space Lettuce brew to be extremely good. We’ll definitely be back to that location. Net net, it was great fun, and the transportation and guide provided were just fine.
