8 of us attended the Delbert McClinton concert January 28. We had our tickets in advance and got in line at 6 PM for the 8 PM show. Doors were opened at 7 PM and we found excellent seats up close and in the middle of 2 rows. The bar had a good selection of drinks and plenty of bartenders.... More

I just recently saw Howard jones here and let me tell you. I was so surprised at the quality of sound in this place. It's not a huge venue. And the beer prices were not outrageous. Can't wait to see another concert here !

This venue was amazing! It is than I imagined, but it has plenty of seating downstairs and standing room both upstairs and downstairs. They have a great bar selection and the plenty of bathrooms.

A big fan of Variety Playhouse, and particularly sitting upstairs, I was excited to see Robert Cray and the newly renovated venue. Another patron accurately describes the significant design flaw in the newly installed balcony. There is not enough pitch to see the stage or over those sitting in front of you. In addition, they built a fence across the... More

Recently saw Robert Cray and Elliot Holden in a wonderfully remodeled space. Now you can see the stage when seated in the front row even when there are tons of folks standing in front of you. They did a nice job with it, for sure.

I've been to this small intimate venue many times over the years and enjoy the variety of talent it brings in to perform. It is newly renovated and looks great! Just went to the George Winston piano concert this weekend and found the back seats to be distracting and unpleasant for a "quiet concert" because of noise from the rear... More

Great venue for an intimate concert experience! Beautiful inside. Had a full bar and excellent service. Only drawback is parking (or lack thereof), which we had to do off street.

This was our favorite concert venue for the last 20+ years. Sadly, no more. We attended our first show here after the "remodeling" and nearly cried. Our favorite seats in the upper level are now gone, replaced by a giant bar and wasted open space. We sat in the fourth row of the balcony and couldn't see the stage at... More

No more sticky floors. The restrooms are shiny and clean.I think the sound is way too loud though. The pre-show sound mix was great then the band was almost intolerable.
