We were satisfied with our experience. The ferris wheel made 3 quick rotations, then stopped several times on the fourth rotation to unload/load. The views of Centinneal Olympic Park are great, as well as of the surrounding downtown buildings. We used a Groupon deal which included a box of chocolate (and was cheaper than buying 2 regular adult tickets), so I would recommend doing that if it is available. The drawback to the experience is how quick it is over.

If you have the time and some money to spare, Skyview is worth checking out since it is definitely fun. As others have said though, the view is a bit limited and there are better views to be found in the city for cheaper. Is nice that they're open late since many of the other attractions in the area close fairly early.

It's a big ferris wheel. If you want to go on a big ferris wheel that overlooks centennial place then this is a big ferris wheel that brings up you 20 stories or so over centennial place. We were on for about 10 minutes which was enough time to enjoy it. The gondolas are air conditioned and very safe. The staff were friendly and helpful. I considered going with the VIP gondola because you can skip the line but when we arrived on a weekend in April there were no long lines and were quickly able to get on. Stop by Philly G's afterwards for an authentic and refreshing Philadelphia water ice!

I was walking through Centennial Olympic Park one afternoon and saw this beautiful Ferris wheel all lit up and calling my name. I’m a sucker for a good Ferris wheel, whether it be the Texas Star® in Dallas or the famous London Eye or the Bailang River Bridge Ferris wheel in Weifang, China. I’ve ridden many of them.

Here’s the problem. All of those offer sweeping panoramas of intriguing scenery. SkyView Atlanta only offers a decent view of the park, but buildings block everything else including Atlanta’s tallest skyscrapers and any sort of distant look at the horizon. It’s just not in a good location.

So you end up spending $18.51 per person to spin around four times, lingering near the top on the fourth circumnavigation, but seeing the same boring views over and over again. It’s really not worth the time nor the money.

Dropping this rating to make customers aware that there are risks with Skyview's bookings. We were preempted from a ride due to local weather (the ride is required to shut down). Attempts to contact the company for a refund met a dead end (voice mail) and unanswered Messenger msgs. There is no customer service. We tried to wait out the weather with no luck. Total loss of $100+.

Recommend not purchasing online ticket until you are onsite and verify it is operating with no inclement weather nearby.

The ride itself was fun. My grandaughter (12 yrs old) was a little frightened at first but she quickly settled down and enjoyed the ride. It made four full circular loops around, moving slowly. You had plenty of opportunity to look outside and take photos.

Yes, just like a cruise ship, they have someone taking staged photos of you. And even though they were expensive ($40 for a pack that includes 3 8x10 and several smaller 4x6 (or 5x7), it was worth having a nice memory of our visit.

We actually booked this with a Groupon for the family it cost around $40.00 for 4 which is about the correct price for the experience. Any more and I would be pretty unhappy as it was super short. The skyview goes around about 4 times and has a very nice view of centennial park. However there is a lot of construction going on right now so a lot of the views are obstructed. The car itself was hot not sure if the a/c was broken but it was kind of uncomfortable. Having done a couple of other Ferris wheels like the one in Las Vegas and one in Santa Monica id have to say we were a bit disappointed. If you have no other choice its a unique experience to kill 10 or so minutes.

It goes by pretty fast but you get nice views of the city I definitely suggest doing it during the day instead of at night because you see more of the city. Today was their anniversary so we were able to ride for free. The pictures they take of you are pretty expensive so make sure you take a lot of pictures while you're in the tram.

I know this is a popular ride to go on at night to see the Centennial Olympic park all lit up but I wanted to get some good photos of the park during the daylight. There were only a few other people riding it so I got a pod to myself. It goes around three or four times and takes about ten minutes. I got some really good photos and I enjoyed the ride.

I thought the pods would be bigger but they only fit 4 people, luckily when you're a couple they allow you to have the pod to yourself. We went around 8pm so the city lights were beautiful and the Olympic Path lights were easy to see. I almost would have liked to ride it closer to daylight to see the park more clearly but it was still a great experience!

We wanted to stay in Atlanta to let our 6 year old daughter see a big city. She of course wanted to ride the big Ferris wheel as soon as she laid eyes on it. We were greeted and bought our tickets and stepped around to get in line where normally your picture would have been taken, but the gentleman informed us the “camera was broken.” Oddly enough the next group behind us had their picture taken, along with several others to follow. We then begin to notice that the camera was only broken for people that where of the white race. We then got into the passenger car for our ride on the Ferris wheel. The smell of marijuana was so strong in the car that you could have gotten a contact high, which triggered our daughter to start coughing and asking what the smell was. The view was nice but overall this area is not a family friendly experience at night, and it seemed that racism was in the reverse of what everyone portrays it to be at the big sky Atlanta!

Visited on a Saturday afternoon in January around 4:30 & waited less than 10 minutes to board. Ride lasts between 7-12 minutes rotating 2-3 times completely. It was very windy the day of our ride but the gondolas were steady with minimal rocking motion even though we could hear the wind howling. Cost was $13.99 for adults 12 & up & $12.50 for kids 3-11. Kids under 3 were free. Typical Skyview experience.

It's a ferris wheel and that's pretty much it. There isn't much to see from the wheel besides looking straight into a number of apartments. At prices of $15 for adults and $10 for kids it isn't very expensive but with a family of four you still drop $54. We did as we were in Atlanta but won't do it again
