Cost is $14 per person, which wasn't bad for the amount of time they allowed us on the ferris wheel. Especially nice that all cars are climate-controlled and enclosed

We bought a Groupon; gave us about a $5 savings pp. The discount was the only good part. The Ferris wheel was surrounded by buildings so you really couldn’t see very far. Maybe the evening would have been better. We went around 4 times I...More

We went to the Skyview around midday so it was pretty quiet so we didn’t have to wait at all. We had great views of Atlanta and was a. Ice experience.

So close to everything. Was in town for walker Stalker and had time to waste, so we gave this a try. Was scary , but so fun. You can see everything!

Ride was fun, view was good but it was rather expensive for the amount of time you’re actually on the ride.

Sky view is conveniently located near centennial park, CNN building, Mercedes Benz stadium and the arena. There were only a few people in line so the wait was 5 minutes at most. The price is reasonable considering the length of the ride.

First visit coming up soon...thoughts on My plans (17 Replies)
My adult daughter and I will be flying in from Canada oct 16 and staying in buckhead for a conference. We will have Thursday to go site see and have planned the electric car tour, the skyview Atlanta ride, coke museum, possibly the aquarium and think that will fill the day downtown. Since we are in buckhead I thought Friday before the conference we could check out the Atlanta history museum (but will this be closed due to govt shutdown?)and do some shopping. I'd really love to tour some...More

Atlanta History Center is not a US facility so won't be closed, except on Mondays, which is normal. Make sure you go to the Aquarium. There are no set Buckhead homes tours. For shopping, you have 2 nice malls: Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza. What is your hotel?
